To participate in these trades and monitor trends, most traders use specialized programs, the so-called Forex trading terminals. One of the most popular of them today is MetaTrader 4 (MT4).

In order not to burn out on the exchange, the trader must tirelessly monitor what is happening on it. However, it is simply physically impossible to sit near the screen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is for this reason that the developers of such a program came up with the alert signal.

What is an alert in the Forex trading terminal? This is a programmable event notification. There may be several of them.

For example, a certain trader waits until the value of the dollar falls to a certain level in order to be profitable to buy the currency and resell it later. This can happen in 10 minutes, or in 10 days. In order not to watch all this time at the monitor screen, a mark is set in the program. Now the businessman can focus on other projects, and as soon as the currency drops to the right price, he will receive an alert signal about this and he will be able to carry out his plan.

Using alerts, traders are simultaneously able to supervise dozens or even hundreds of business operations at once.

PSO "Lisa Alert"

In addition to all of the above, the term under study is included in the name of the famous Russian search and rescue squad - "Lisa Alert".

Most of the employees of this organization are volunteers who, on a voluntary basis, are involved in the search and rescue of missing people. Most often, it is children and old people who disappear.

The date of creation of "Liza Alert" is September 24 (according to other sources - October 14), 2010. The reason for the appearance of this PSO was a very sad story. In September 2010, a woman and her 4-year-old niece Liza disappeared in the Moscow region, who went out to walk the dog in the forest. The relatives of the missing reported the incident immediately. However, law enforcement agencies delayed for four days.

Desperate relatives decided to search for the missing on their own. Through social networks on the Internet, they announced the start of the search and asked for help from everyone. Many learned about the event, and almost five hundred people joined the parents.

Together they combed the forest for five days and finally found a woman who was rolled over by a tree, and she died of hypothermia. The body of Lisa and her dog was found the next day. The girl, apparently, went with the dog to help her aunt, and got lost. The examination showed that if Liza had been found a day earlier, she could have been saved.

Shocked by this outcome, the search participants decided to organize a volunteer PSO "Liza Alert". Since that time, the organization has been actively searching for the disappeared in many cities. Russian Federation... On account of her saving many lives.

It is worth noting that the USAR team actively cooperates with the police and the press and uses every opportunity to help the disappeared.

Probably, such a translation was associated with the anti-communist organization of the same name, which was popular in the first half of the 20th century in the United States. The trader may not always be near the terminal, and sometimes it is necessary not to miss an important event. You can, of course, write an advisor or place a pending order, or you can use standard function terminal - alerts.

Alert in MT4- this is a notification to the trader about the achievement of a given event. For example, breaking through an important level or trend line. As soon as the condition is met, the trader will receive a notification in several ways, depending on the specified conditions.

Sound - normal sound notification

5. Expiration... Date / time when the alert should be stopped

6. Condition... 5 types:

Bid> - The bid price is greater than the specified value. If the current Bid price rises above the specified value, an alert will be triggered
Bid< - The bid price is less than the specified value. If the current Bid price falls below the specified value, a signal will occur
Ask> - Ask price is greater than the specified value. If the current Ask price rises above the specified value, an alert will be triggered
Ask< - Ask price is less than the specified value. If the current Ask price falls below the specified value, a signal will occur
Time = - time is equal to the specified value. When the specified time comes, an alert will be triggered

7. Value... We set the price level at which the signal should be triggered.

Upon reaching levels 70 and 30, depending on the direction of the curve, the indicator RSI with alert will emit a sound signal and a sign with a recommended buy or sell order will pop up.

By default, the alert is disabled, enabled in the column SoundAlert = True

However, the touch point will be in a fairly wide field, like a circle or ellipse. From the point of view of the time coordinate, it will be a segment that has a beginning and an end. This means that at the beginning of this segment there comes a moment when the event becomes probable. And at the end of this segment there is a point after which the event becomes not at all probable.

Thus, the beginning of the segment can be indicated by setting an alert, so to speak, "readiness number one", and at the end of the segment, you can write a signal to cancel high alert. On the same point, you can screw the expiration time parameter of the alert. This has already been discussed above.
Here you can only use a temporary sensor to indicate the entrance to the zone, then the exit from the zone will not be used in the alert. You can also use the price sensor, then setting an alert at the first point on the left, the sensor at the price inside the ellipse, and canceling the alert at the right point along the ellipse.
