By processing the month-end closing, one after another, operations are performed that close accounting and tax accounts ("Operations" - "Period-closing" - "Month-end closing" hyperlink). For each individual organization, for which records are kept in the database, any of the routine operations is performed once in the reporting period.
To close the month, you must select an organization and specify a specific month.
First of all, if necessary, you should restore the sequence - this link marked with a pale blue color indicates that some documents were posted retroactively without reposting subsequent ones.
Regulatory documents 1C: Monthly closing accounting are divided into four blocks and must be performed in accordance with strictly defined rules of adherence: documents of the second block will be executed only if the documents of the first block are completed without error, etc. The blocks are distributed as follows:

Within each group, the sequence of regulatory documents can be performed arbitrarily. If the operations are carried out in the correct sequence and one of them is repeated, redefining the results of the subsequent ones, then the lines of the older groups are marked with a blue background to start them again.
If all operations are completed successfully, they are marked in green. Documents not completed due to errors are marked in red. Operations to be repeated are highlighted in blue. Uncompleted operations are marked in black.
When performing each regulatory procedure, the corresponding entries are generated in accounting and tax accounting, which can be viewed in context menu each line of the block.
To visually display the result of a routine operation, a printed help-calculation form is used.
During the execution of the closing of the month, accounting errors: you should view their description, analyze and, having corrected, continue the procedure.
Successful completion of all routine operations and marking them in green does not mean that the accounts are closed correctly. Verification of the correctness of the closing procedure is carried out by generating and analyzing the balance sheet for this period and checking the final balance of the cost accounts.
When the year is closed (the reporting period is December), the following are added to the list of routine operations:
- write-off of losses from previous years;
- calculation of income tax;
- balance reformation.

In case of successful closing of the month or year, it is necessary to exclude accidental or deliberate changes in the previously held primary documents of this period, which may affect the final financial result. You need to know how to close the period for editing data in 1C 8.3:

Documents preceding the banning date are available exclusively for viewing, creating new or changing existing ones is possible only if their date is greater than the banning date. If you try to change data that is closed for editing, a warning will be displayed on the screen.

Closing the month is a complex procedure and should be performed from month to month, and not once a year for all periods. Regulatory documents affect the current accounting results, the formation of the cost of production, and, therefore, determine the performance indicators of the organization as a whole.

In this article, we will consider the settings that allow you to prohibit the editing of historical data in the program. This task arises on a monthly basis, the heads of departments are guided by the closing dates of the month, the deadlines for submitting reports and restrict users' access to editing the information of the accounting month.

It is recommended to use the mechanism of prohibition of editing for security purposes, when it is unacceptable to change management and accounting data and repost documents. Also, if necessary, delimit user access, for example, as soon as employees are ready, close access to the accounting month and leave it only for responsible users and the chief accountant.

To set the date of prohibition of changing data in the 1C: Accounting 8.3 program, you need to go to the navigation: Administration / Settings of users and rights.

In the window that opens, go to the section "Dates of prohibition of changes". A set flag of the same name means that the setting for prohibiting changes to the data of past periods is enabled.

By clicking on the "Configure" hyperlink, the user opens the date editing window. You must first analyze whether the ban date is set common for all users or only for certain employees, and go to the appropriate tab.

On the "For all users" tab, a general ban date is set in the "Ban date" field, before which data changes are prohibited. The restriction applies to all users of the system, all subsystems and objects.

If you need to set different dates for sections and objects, turn to the setting "Other ways of specifying the date of prohibition" located at the bottom of the window. The setting can take the following values: “General date”, “By sections”, “By objects” and “By sections and objects”. As an example, we will indicate the ban date "By Sections" and set an excellent date for the "Accounting" section.

On the "By users" tab, it is possible to specify the ban date for certain users or user groups. For the "For all users" group, you can add a general ban date in the same way.

By clicking the "Pick" button on the action bar, the user can add users or groups to the tabular section and specify excellent dates for them.

It is also possible to set dates for sections, objects for individual users using the "Other ways of specifying the date of ban" setting.

After setting the ban date, the user will not be able to make any changes to documents registered before the specified date inclusive. Those. at set date 03/31/2018, there will be no access to documents dated 03/31/2018. The commands "Ok", "Record", "Post", "Undo post", "Delete" on the forms will become inactive, as in the screenshot below.

When an attempt is made to record during a closed period, an error and a service message with information about the date of the ban for the current user are displayed.

In 1C there is a way to simplify - setting a "dynamic" ban date. That is, the program can be configured so that the system would automatically "move" the ban date. Example - at the end of a year, month, quarter, week, day.
