Rambler is a well-known email client that continues to hold high positions in terms of the number of active users. The client has a beautifully redesigned design, improved security options and free registration... Read about how to start an email account and troubleshoot login problems in this article.

It's hard to believe, but Rambler appeared in 1996. Then it was a simple search engine, which, as it developed, began to acquire new services, including mail. Today Rambler is one of the most popular services that has received a completely new design.

Registration on Rambler.

It is very easy to register on Rambler. First, by launching, you need to go to the Rambler main page and select the button in the upper right corner "To come in" .

The service will prompt you to enter your existing username and password. we don't have them yet, select the button "Register" .

Now you need to come up with a password and enter it twice. A password is considered reliable if it consists of at least eight characters, and also contains uppercase and lowercase Latin letters, numbers and symbols.

You just need to specify such personal data as date of birth, gender, number mobile phone and a confirmation code that will come in the form of an SMS message. The entered number will allow you to ensure reliable computer security, because will notify you of major changes to your profile.

If you do not want to enter a phone number, select the item "I don't have a mobile phone number" and then it is necessary to indicate Security Question and the answer to it.

After filling in all the fields, complete the account creation by clicking the button "Register" .

Login to Rambler mail.

Go to the Rambler main page and select the button in the upper right corner "To come in" ... Enter the created username and password. As a rule, your browser will offer to save this data so that next time you do not waste time entering the same data.

In addition, in order to quickly go to mail, we recommend adding the site to your browser bookmarks.

The mail interface is pretty simple. On the left side there are folders with letters: "Inbox", "Sent Items", "Drafts", etc. Messages of the selected folder are displayed slightly to the right, and an open letter to the right.

Pay attention to the very last item on the left side of the page, which is called "Add other boxes" ... By selecting this item, you can connect additional email addresses from other mail services: Mail.ru, Yandex, etc. Thus, from one site you can send and receive emails from all available email addresses.

Trouble entering Rambler mail.

In some cases, users to check emails. Most often, this problem occurs for the following reasons:

1. Incorrect username and password. When entering an address Email and password, make sure the correct keyboard layout is turned on and the Caps Lock key is turned off. In addition, enter your username and password manually, without pasting data from the clipboard.

2. You forgot your password. A common situation among users is when a difficult password is created and happily forgotten the next time they try to enter the mail. To create a new password, use the access recovery service at this link.

3. The mail account has been blocked. If you have not entered Rambler mail for a long period of time, then the system may have blocked it. To resume access to mail, contact support, where you need to explain the essence of the problem. As a rule, the support service works promptly, so soon your mailbox will become active again.

4. The box has been removed. If you see a message when you try to log into your mail "The box does not exist" then it may have been deleted. Deleted mailboxes cannot be restored, so you will have to go through the registration procedure again.

5. The computer has old version browser. Older versions of web browsers may not meet the Rambler Mail requirements, so please update your browser to the most recent version.

Those people who used the Internet at the beginning of the 2000s will probably remember that in those distant times, Rambler was one of the most popular search engines in our country. Moreover, for the first few years after its creation in 1996, he held a leadership position and was absolutely unshakable. However, times are changing and today Rambler is positioning itself more like a media portal where search system... However, it is a very functional site that also has its own mail system.

I will say right away that I do not see a single reason to change mail from or to rambler. Why? Well, for example, you can recall the situations when it was simply impossible to register on many forums, if you have a Rambler mail - the letters simply did not reach the addressee. As far as I know, now the situation has changed dramatically, but the sediment remains. And yet, if you have any wishes of your own and you want to create a mailbox in this system, then welcome - I will tell you how to do it.

Registration in mail

As with other mail systems, registration is completely free. So if you are required to send SMS before registration, then you are clearly on a website different from Rambler.

Let's move on to action. Open Rambler. We see a lot of news here. At the very top of the screen there is a small menu where you need to select the "Mail" section. Click on it.

Actually, the registration itself will consist of several steps. At the first stage, we indicate our first and last name. I recommend specifying real data, as in the absence of access, this will help you recover it faster.

Here you need to come up with the mail address (nickname, roughly speaking) that you will use. As you can see, you can choose one of five endings (@ rambler.ru, @ lenta.ru, @ autorambler.ru, @ myrambler.ru and @ ro.ru). You have to come up with a name yourself. If it is already taken, the system will immediately inform you about it, so you will have to come up with another word.

After you've picked up the name mailbox, go to the next stage. Here, first of all, you need to come up with a password. How to do this, I described in great detail in the article. Therefore, just in case, I remind you that the password must consist of at least 12 characters (on Rambler maximum amount characters in the password - 16), including Latin letters of lower and upper case, numbers and Special symbols... How harder password, the more difficult it will be to lose access to your e-mail. We write down the password on a piece of paper and hide it away from human eyes.

In the same section, we indicate the control question and the answer to it (we also write this data on paper, as you may need it!), Spare mail (if any), gender, date of birth (it is better to write the real date) and captcha.

It remains to click on the "Register" button and that's it. You will see the following picture in front of you:

Now we can use the mailbox at our discretion.

How do I check my mail?

We do such a simple trick: go to Rambler, select the "Mail" section in the top menu, enter your username and password, then click "Login". You have successfully signed in to your mailbox. Congratulations.

Rambler mail appeared in the era of the birth of the Russian RuNet - more than 15 years ago. Long time there were no visible changes with its system and interface, but in 2012 the developers announced an upgrade.

The entrance to Rambler-mail is located here: Email.rambler.ru.

Here you can also set your avatar, which will be visible to the recipients of your letters.

After logging in and registering in e-mail. mail it is worth noting that in Rambler-mail there is no binding to a mobile phone number, which reduces the safety of working with a box, a very interesting solution. As you can understand, the argument that you have nothing in your mailbox is not particularly relevant, because almost one hundred percent of emails are hacked on the stream, and not on order. Hackers hunt not only for money, but also for social media accounts and other things, which can then be sold in bulk to spammers or some other "bots".

Appearance the web interface looks like some very simple mail client (a program installed on your computer that collects correspondence from all your mailboxes). Rambler invites you to click on the "Add other mailboxes" link in the left column and thus you are offered to set up mail collection from all other mailboxes you have (including from other services) to view correspondence in Rambler.

This is a very bold proposal in light of the fact that the main attacks and criticism on Rambler-mail are related to the poor performance of anti-spam protection, and this is a fundamental fact when choosing the main mailbox where all correspondence will be collected. prefers the service from Gmail, and its functionality is more high level... But this is still not for everybody. This interface is supported by its simplicity and obviousness. In the lower left corner, you will find a couple of buttons with horizontal and vertical stripes that allow you to switch from a two-column mail view to a three-column mode when the list of letters remains open and the contents of the message you are interested in opens to the right in a separate area.

In the same place, but a little to the right, you will find a button to go to the settings of your mailbox in Rambler-mail.

How can I check inboxes in Rambler-mail?

Traditionally, there are several options. You can enter the web interface and look at the counter of unread letters:
You will observe approximately the same in mobile version mail from Rambler.
Also, being on home page Rambler.ru and some other services of this company, you will see the number of unread messages next to the "Mail" tab.
If you wish, you can install an extension for your browsers called Rambler Assistant (it includes several blocks, including the mail one). After that, in your browser, in the panel reserved for extensions, you will see an icon with the number of unread messages.

And when you click on it, you can read the headers of new letters and, if you wish, enter your mail account to familiarize yourself with their contents. You can set up mail collection from your mailbox in Rambler mail to one of your main mailboxes on another service or to the mail client program installed on your computer. To do this, you will need to know the parameters of the connection to the outgoing and incoming Rambler servers. Now, for checking and notifying you of the arrival of new messages, you will be responsible for the client program or the interface of another mail service (Google, Yanedksa, Mail.ru or something else that you are more used to).

Web interface (your page) in Rambler Mail

At the top are the most necessary buttons for managing and sorting incoming correspondence: At the top are the most necessary buttons for managing and sorting incoming correspondence:

To write a new letter:

In the window for creating a new message, the "Formatted" mode is enabled by default, which allows you to style the text of the letter using tools that resemble the capabilities of the classic text editor of type World. Everything else is very simple - only necessary and nothing superfluous. To go to the Rambler address book. You can export your contacts from existing mailboxes to it using the buttons shown in the screenshot. You can also add contacts manually using the "New contact" button located at the top:

You can also add a new contact when reading the letter by clicking in the "From" field and selecting the appropriate item. In the left column address book it will be possible to set up the grouping of contacts (for example, by friends, work, etc.), and the "Automatic" tab will accumulate contacts of those users with whom you corresponded through this mailbox.

  • To add the selected email to spam or to delete it.
  • To move letters between existing folders and to create new ones.
  • To mark correspondence as read or important.
  • Well, and the most important thing - buttons for answering and for forwarding the selected correspondence to anyone else.
Also important is the convenience of viewing the list of correspondence and the ability to mark individual letters. In Rambler mail, this is implemented, although quite simply (with small volumes of correspondence, it is quite convenient). You can mark important letters with asterisks, the outline of which will be drawn opposite each letter on the right, and you can remove the "Unread" mark using the outline of the circle on the left. For a group mark, you can put a checkmark in front of the necessary ones and use the drop-down menu of the "More" button located above.

Well, in order to then set up the background highlighting of only important or unread letters and you will need to select suitable option from the drop-down list shown in the screenshot. To search for all letters, you can use the above search string... The service is so simple that even people far from the Internet can figure out the functionality in no time.

Rambler email settings

Let's now go over the Mail settings from Rambler, which are hidden behind the gear button located at the bottom of the left column. On the one hand, this will not scare off an inexperienced user, but they can disappoint a little more or less accustomed to the comfort and convenience of the user. However, that is what it is. On the first tab of the settings, you can set the sender's name (and, if you wish, specify a different Email to which replies will be received), add a signature that will be added at the bottom of all letters you send, and you can also change the cover of pages with your mail (blue is used by default. texture, but you can replace it with one of a dozen background options). Well, you can also see how much free space left in your free mailbox, which initially is not so much given against the background of competitors (only 2 Giga).

On the next tab of the Rambler Mail settings page, you can add new folders if the need arises. On the "Other mailboxes" tab, you can configure mail collection from all mailboxes you have in this or any other services. It will be enough just to specify the login and password from these very boxes. If the service from which the correspondence should be collected is not standard (for them the addresses and ports of the POP3 server are already known), then you will have to specify these data as well.

V this service e-mail filters are available. They live in the corresponding settings tab. They allow you to configure the processing of incoming correspondence by checking all letters for compliance with the specified conditions, and if they are satisfied, perform one of the following actions on them:

  • mark emails as read;
  • mark important;
  • delete letters;
  • move to specified folder

  • There are several options for setting conditions and actions to be performed when they are satisfied (selected from the drop-down lists shown in the screenshot). Several conditions can be set using the plus button. In general, everything is usually and quite simple. But on the other hand, there is nothing complicated and accessible to a completely unprepared user (unlike, for example, the same filters and Gmail labels). The autoresponder tab, in my opinion, is of little use, except for the time of vacation, set up autoreplies and the time when you can answer incoming correspondence. But the "Forwarding letters" tab may well come in handy. As I already mentioned, many complain about Rambler spam cutters, and if it really works poorly, then it makes sense to set up forwarding of all incoming emails to another service, where spam is filtered out once or twice (the same Gmail or Yandex).

To set up forwarding, it will be enough just to move the tick in the "Enabled" area, specify the recipient's mailbox in the "To" field and decide whether you will save copies of the forwarded letters on the Rambler service. And on the tab “ Mail programs»You will be able to find out the data for configuring the reception and sending of mail through this mailbox using the client program installed on your computer (you can use both SMTP and IMAP).

There is also the "sounds" tab, where you can activate the sounds that are disabled by default, which will be played when a new letter arrives in the Inbox folder, as well as when sending correspondence or when a failure occurs.

    Rambler in comparison with competitors

If everything described above works perfectly in this mail service, then it may well be recommended to undemanding network users who want to get the most simple and, what is important, very understandable service for working with mail. However, this service cannot provide serious competition for Gmail, Yandex Mail and even Mail.ru. It is not very functional, the issue with security remains open, and the settings for serious work with a large volume of correspondence are clearly not enough. If we also take into account the mass negative reviews Internet users, the prospects for Rambler mail in the fight against competitors for the market are rather vague. Their main task now is to retain existing customers. The volume for storing letters is relatively small - the mailbox is intended for individual use and Rambler mail cannot offer anything to corporative clients... Apparently, this explains the low demand for the service - quick registration and ease of management is of course a big plus, but in this case, simplicity is still the enemy of the best.

Rambler-mail is the largest mail service, which at one time was very popular. Now it is no longer as popular as mail.ru or yandex, however, despite this, already registered users are in no hurry to leave it, considering Rambler-mail the most stable and convenient mail service.

Registration on Rambler-mail.

In order to create a mailbox on Rambler, go to the Rambler-mail login site and click the "Create mail" button.

The registration page will open, which will take two steps.

In the first step, you need to enter your first and last name and come up with an email address. If such an address is not occupied by another user, you can click the "Next" button.

In the second step, you need to come up with strong password, preferably including capital and small case letters, numbers and signs, as well as come up with a security question and give an answer to it. You will need a test question if you forget your password to log in to the mail.

After completing the second step, the system will congratulate you on your successful registration.

Similar to Yandex and Mail.ru services, the created mailing address automatically becomes an account for logging into other Rambler services.

It is also worth noting that when registering a postal address on Rambler, the system does not require, for security reasons, the binding of a mobile phone number, as it is implemented in the same Yandex and Mail.ru. This moment can be decisive when choosing a mail service for some users who, for whatever reason, do not want to bind a phone number to their mailbox.

The mailbox interface is very simple, for some users it may even seem too simple. But, as it seems to me, the developers of Rambler-mail tried to make the interface of the service as clear and simple as possible, even, one might say, obvious. If you click the "Add other mailboxes" button, you can combine all addresses from different mail services, combining them into a single system.

Ways to view incoming emails in Rambler-mail.

1. From the main Rambler-mail window, by clicking on the number with the number of letters.

2. While on the Rambler website, as well as using its services, a bar will be displayed in the upper part of the window, which will also show the number of incoming letters. If you click on the number, you will be redirected to the mail.

3. From a browser extension. To be always in touch and not have a page with mail ready, you can download the Rambler-Assistant browser extension. You will find the download link at the end of the article.

Rambler mail can be recommended to users who value simplicity and convenience. There will be no colorful design, an overloaded interface, the imposition of useless services and services and the mandatory input of a mobile phone number. If you like it - welcome to Rambler-mail!
