Possible malfunctions and methods of their elimination. Interactive whiteboards Promethean ActivBoard Interactive whiteboard prometheus how to work with it

  • An interactive whiteboard is a touch screen connected to a computer that is transmitted to the whiteboard by a projector.

The interactive whiteboard works both as a computer monitor and as a regular whiteboard. It is enough to touch the surface of the board to control the applications running on the computer.

Using the whiteboard, you can open files, work with the Internet, write over any applications, websites and video images using special markers. When you're done, you can save all your notes for later use.

The world's first interactive whiteboard was introduced in 1991. The teachers were among the first to appreciate the pedagogical possibilities of this new technology. Indeed, the use of interactive whiteboards helps to diversify activities, make them vivid and exciting.

  • Interactive complex is an interactive information display system consisting of an interactive whiteboard and a short-throw multimedia projector.

Thanks to the special mount of the projector to the board, shadow and glare on the board are significantly reduced. The projector does not need to be mounted separately on a stand or hung from the ceiling, which reduces the cost of ownership of the complex.
  • Before starting work, the interactive whiteboard is connected to a computer and a projector, or, if it is an interactive complex, then just to a computer.

If the projector, board or the whole complex has changed its location, it is necessary to calibrate the screen.
  • Depending on the type of whiteboard, writing on the interactive whiteboard is carried out with a special electronic marker, fake marker or finger. The speaker, picking up a marker, can work with the image on the screen: highlight, underline, outline important areas, draw diagrams or correct them, make corrections in the text. All recorded information automatically appears on the computer screen. You can save all your notes to a file.

Touch devices “pick up” the touch and transmit them into appropriate electronic signals that reflect the movement of the writing hand.

Some types of whiteboards come with a tray with four different colored markers and an eraser. The presenter can preset the colors of the markers that he will use during the speech - then the interactive whiteboard automatically reacts to the marker taken in his hand and displays the corresponding color when drawing.
  • Interactive whiteboard manufacturers use a variety of interactive whiteboard manufacturing technologies. The main difference is the technology on the basis of which the position of the writing instrument on the board is determined.

Currently on the market there are:

    • Resistive Matrix Technology
    • Combination of infrared and ultrasonic technology
    • Electromagnetic wave technology
    • Laser technology
    • Optical technology
  • The area of application of interactive whiteboards and panels is very extensive. Interactive whiteboards can be used in large audiences as well as in small groups.

In the field of education, modern audiovisual teaching aids help to diversify the lesson: the teacher can give a lecture using simultaneously text, audio and video materials, DVD, CD-ROM and Internet resources. The software allows you to write and markup right on top of all kinds of documents, diagrams and web pages.

Interactive equipment is designed for users of all ages and helps to maintain a continuous effective learning process, from kindergarten to university. More information about solutions for education can be found in the sections on the use of interactive equipment in preschool, secondary educational, secondary and primary vocational institutions, universities.

In addition, the tactile control of the interactive whiteboard helps to conduct non-standard and individual lessons, which is especially important when working with younger students or children with disabilities.

With the help of software, users of interactive whiteboards have the opportunity to save the applied images as a file and exchange information in real time via communication channels - this is especially important for military organizations, situational and crisis centers.

Another wide area of application of interactive whiteboards is government and business structures in the framework of business presentations and seminars. Software products allow you to make the demonstration bright and lively - the speaker is not tied to the blackboard or podium - with the help of additional equipment, you can add all incoming proposals to the presentation from anywhere in the audience, record and save intermediate results of work at the meeting, communicate with colleagues from other regions, and countries.

Examples of implemented solutions for the business sector can be found on the website in the section on the use of interactive equipment in the public and business sectors.

  • Research has shown that working with interactive whiteboards can really help you learn. It is a good choice for those teachers who, with the help of modern technical and audiovisual means and intensive teaching methods, want to interest their listeners, increase attendance, facilitate the assimilation of the material, as well as help students with disabilities.

Interactive whiteboards can be used in large audiences as well as in small groups. These modern audiovisual teaching aids help to diversify the lesson: the teacher can deliver a lecture using simultaneously text, audio and video materials, DVD, CD-ROM and Internet resources. The software allows you to write and markup right on top of all kinds of documents, diagrams and web pages. Any information displayed on the interactive whiteboard can be printed, saved, sent by e-mail and placed on the site.

Interactive whiteboards do not require much space. If you attach the front projection projector to the ceiling, you do not need to place an additional equipment stand in the middle of the classroom. By purchasing a rear projection board, you can avoid problems with connecting the projector, since it is located behind the screen and forms a single structure with it. There are also mobile models: they are not attached to the wall and can be easily moved from one classroom to another. Interactive whiteboards are suitable for students of all ages: the height of the whiteboard can be adjusted to suit any height. Innovative teaching methods and technical tools are available to everyone today.

  • Wall-mounted or mobile board?

  • Calibrating the screen is necessary to set up precise touch to the interactive whiteboard. For example, if you press the Start button and the cursor appears in a different location, try calibrating the board.

To begin calibration, press and hold the two buttons on the tray (keyboard and mouse) until the calibration screen appears.

  • Usually the moderator checks the lessons within 3-4 working days (if the volume of lessons is more than 150 per month, then up to 7 working days).

    • The dual toolbar remains under the control of the person using the primary toolbar.
    • Access to the dual toolbar can be revoked at any time from the main toolbar.
  • Yes you can. But for correct operation, you need to install the appropriate additional software:

    • Promethean Mac OS X - to run on a Mac OS computer.
    • Interwrite software - when working on Interwrite boards.
  • A flipchart can contain many pages and elements, each with its own set of characteristics and properties.
To make it easier to work with these characteristics and properties, ActivInspire provides a browser for each critical area. It:

    • Page Browser
    • Resource Browser
    • Object Browser
    • Annotation Browser
    • Property Browser
    • Activity Browser
    • Voting Observer

    Each reviewer:

  • If you experience any difficulty with the Promethean product, the first step is to download and install the latest version of ActivManager / ActivDriver. For this:

    • go to the page "Technical equipment" http://www.prometheanplanet.ru/server.php?show=nav.19973
    • open the "ActivManager and Driver" tab
    • download and install the driver for your operating system

  • Problem

When working with the ActivPen on a flipchart, the cursor can constantly jump to another place (make so-called "jumps"), or when drawing, it sometimes suddenly shifts to another point and starts to draw a line there spontaneously (the so-called "creep"). This can sometimes occur at locations that are technically referred to as the drop point, where the curve becomes much more jagged than it should be.

    Recommendations

First of all, we advise you to restart the ActivBoard and then connect it to another computer. If that doesn't work, then the problem is with a hardware problem. If everything began to work normally, the cause should be looked for in the software or in the computer with which this problem occurs. In such cases, try updating the driver and software, the latest versions of which can always be found on our website, and also ask your technical support service to update your computer and make sure it is fully functional.

If the problem persists after that, check the system operation with another ActivPen, or the operation of the "suspicious" pen with another ActivBoard. If the problem is related to the ActivPen, please contact Technical Support, provide the serial number of your ActivBoard, and we may replace the pen under warranty or provide additional advice.

It also cannot be ruled out that the problem may be caused by external operating conditions. This is very unlikely as nothing has been reported in the past, but try moving the nearby electronic equipment in the ActivBoard to another location and restarting the system. Also try plugging the ActivBoard into a different electrical outlet (preferably the one where your computer is plugged in).

If the problem continues, contact Technical Support and be prepared to provide your ActivBoard serial number, driver version, and other information from the System Information window. To display it, right-click the ActivManager icon located in the lower-right corner of the computer screen next to the clock and select About from the menu that appears. We may need to perform additional diagnostics and resolve the issue under warranty.
  • Sometimes there is a mismatch between the ActivPen and the ActivBoard. In such cases, you need to calibrate as described below.
Click the ActivManager icon located in the system tray and select Calibrate / Calibration from the menu that appears.
You can also touch the ActivPen to the glowing indicator in the left-right corner of the ActivBoard. The system then beeps and starts the calibration tool.
  • To replace the batteries, unscrew the security screw using the supplied tool. Gently slide the battery compartment cover off the body of the ActiVote. Remove the old batteries and replace them with 3 new AAA alkaline (alkaline) cells. When inserting the batteries, make sure that the poles are aligned as shown in the illustration in the battery compartment. Slide the compartment cover back into place and carefully, without using excessive force, secure it with the security screw.
  • Do not use abrasives, soaps, detergents, or petroleum-based solvents to clean the ActivBoard surface.
We recommend using for this purpose only proprietary products specially designed for dry erasing of marker inscriptions and drawings.

You can also use water-based cleaners containing ammonia, vinegar, or citric acid (for example, used for cleaning glass or plastic panels) that will not leave a residual film on the surface. Before using any product, carefully read the information on the label and test its effect on a small area.

You may need a mild detergent and a soft bristle brush to remove stubborn stains and dirt such as fingerprints, dirt, dust, grease streaks, pencil marks and markers. After this cleaning, you will need to wipe the interactive whiteboard surface a couple (or more) times with a recommended cleaner or denatured alcohol.

Scratches on the work surface cannot be removed or hidden, and ink residues and dirt that accumulate in them are difficult to remove. Do not use wire brushes or scrapers, or dubious cloths.

You can restore a smooth work surface after cleaning with cans of standard polish for household use.

The work surface of all ActivBoards meets the strictest durability standards. With normal use and proper maintenance, it will provide excellent conditions over a long period of time.

  • Problem

On the ActivBoard, the cursor may sometimes not be on the same side as the ActivPen, but rather on the opposite side. When you move the ActivPen towards the center of the board, the cursor also moves towards the center of the work surface, but on the other side.

    Recommendations

This may be due to an upside-down image of the ActivBoard during calibration. Re-calibrate the ActivBoard, making sure the image is oriented correctly on the interactive whiteboard.
  • ActivEspression is powered by 3 AA batteries. When the remote does not turn on, first check to see if the insulating tab has been removed from the battery compartment. If this has already been done, but there is no supply voltage, use the supplied star screwdriver and replace the batteries.
  • The Wireless Upgrade Kit for the ActivBoard 100 includes a power supply that plugs directly into the ActivBoard and a 2.4GHz ActivHub that plugs into a computer.
The Wireless Connection Kit for the ActivBoard 300 Pro contains only the 2.4 GHz ActivHub. If you already have such a hub (it comes standard with ActivSlate, ActiVote and ActivExpression devices in this range), and its firmware version is 5.10 or later, you can safely use it.

    Connection procedure

Make sure the ActivBoard Wireless Upgrade Kit is suitable for your system, the 2.4 GHz ActivHub is plugged into the port, and the computer detects it.

Click the ActivManager icon located in the system tray or toolbar, select Registration from the menu that appears, and then click the Wireless ActivBoard option.

The right-clicked ActivPen appears on your interactive whiteboard desktop, facing the indicator lights in the upper left corner of the ActivBoard.

As instructed, move the ActivPen to the indicator light in the upper left corner of the ActivBoard, press the right mouse button on the stylus, and hold it until the indicator light flashes.

After that, a sequence of three targets will be displayed on the ActivBoard desktop.

When the first one appears, touch its center with the ActivPen and press the left button, then wait for the second circle to appear and follow the same steps, which then repeat with the third target.

If a wireless connection is established, the following window appears on the desktop.

If the wireless connection could not be established, the window will look like this:

In the latter case, you need to check if the power supply is connected to the ActivBoard, if the ActivHub is detected on the computer, and also make sure that firmware version 5.10 or later is installed. Then repeat the above operations.
  • The Interactive ActivBoards are supplied with a 3-5m USB cable. If this is not enough, the USB connection can be extended as described below.
    a. For a serial connection up to 20m, use a Keyspan USB converter that is compatible with ActivBoard version 2 (it has firmware version 3.xx).
    or
    b. When working with ActivBoard version 3 (ActivBoard 100 or ActivBoard 300 Pro with firmware version 8.xx), use a wireless kit that provides communication up to 75 meters. It creates a secure and reliable communication channel in the 2.4 GHz band based on developed by Promethean ActivAir protocol.
If you still prefer a USB extension cable, we recommend using active cables with signal amplifiers every 5 m. Please note, however, that in the event of a problem with the ActivBoard, the first diagnostic measure is to disconnect the extension cable and connect the devices using a standard USB cable supplied with your interactive whiteboard. ... If after that the connection is restored, then the problem is in the extension cord - it is either faulty or of poor quality.
  • Description

When playing a file using QuickTime, sound is sometimes not output from the ActivBoard 300Pro speakers.
This is most often due to inconsistent QuickTime settings that do not match the audio device configured in QuickTime Player's configuration for MIDI playback.

    Recommendations

Here's how to get audio streamed through the ActivBoard 300Pro when playing QuickTime audio files.

    1) Start QuickTime.
    2) Open the Edit menu and click on QuickTime Preferences.
    3) Select the Audio option.
    4) Set Promethean Audio Device instead of Music Synthesizer.
    5) Click the Apply button and then the OK button.
You should then hear sound through the ActivBoard 300Pro speakers.
  • Up to 16 Wireless ActivSlates in this band can be registered to the 2.4 GHz ActivHub. However, it should be borne in mind that simultaneous operation on several such devices is impossible: at any given time, communication is supported only with one of them.
  • When conducting surveys using ActivInspire, up to 500 ActivExpression consoles can be used concurrently. They all register with the 2.4 GHz ActivHub and can communicate with the ActivInspire application on the computer to which the hub is connected.
  • Always quote the serial number of the device when contacting technical support. It will determine the warranty status of the equipment, the date of its purchase / installation, the ActivBoard or ActivSlate model, as well as the owner. How to find the serial number of your device is described below.

    ActivBoard
The location of the serial number label depends on your interactive whiteboard model.
On the ActivBoard 300Pro models with a gray border, this is located on both sides of the interactive whiteboard. In ActivBoard 100 models with a light gray frame, the serial number should be found on the side panel of the case behind its upper left corner relative to the front side.

    ActivSlate
On all ActivSlate tablet models, the serial number is located on the silver label located on the back panel.

    ActivSound
Most ActivSound amplifiers affix the serial number label to the back of the cabinet. The serial number of the microphone is usually located on a label in the battery compartment.

    ActiView
The serial number is located on the bottom of the product

  • ActiVote remotes are neither hardware nor software compatible with ActivEngage Mobile.
  • If the ActivPen you use to write or draw leaves a broken line on the ActivBoard, you need to adjust it. This feature is provided in the Promethean firmware. Line breaks are due to missing pixels at some points where the ActivPen touches the ActivBoard.

If you bring the ActivPen to the working surface of the ActivBoard and hold it in this position for a few seconds, the synchronization process begins, which makes the touch response clearer.

    Setting procedure
Move the Teacher ActivPen away from the ActivBoard, and then bring it back to the interactive whiteboard, but do not touch its surface by holding the pen a few millimeters away from the screen.
Hold the pen in this position for a few seconds. When this time has elapsed, the Promethean flame indicator located in the upper left corner of the ActivBoard will flash DARK BLUE.

This means the ActivPen is now complete, it is in sync with the interactive whiteboard, and the line breaks should now be gone.

It is very rare, but it happens that the feather trail becomes intermittent after changing the ActivPen. In this case, follow the procedures described above.

  • A) The mouse pointer jumps across the screen.
    or
    B) When writing across the screen, the line following the pen suddenly "jumps" to another point.

    In both cases
Perform the checks described below and report their results to technical support, which will advise you on what to do next.

    1) Do you have the latest version of ActivManager installed?

    2) Is the latest version of ActivInspire installed? - To check, open ActivInspire, go to the Help menu and click on Check for Updates.
If there is a more recent version of the application, you will see an offer on the screen to download and install it.
Is the problem resolved after updating the driver? - If not, follow the next step.

    3) Is the latest firmware installed on the ActivBoard?
Is the problem resolved after updating the driver? - If not, follow the next step.

    4) Does the problem persist after connecting another computer to the ActivBoard?
If not, the problem could be caused by electrical noise from the power supply or peripherals connected to the computer. Report this to technical support, which will advise on what to do next.

    5) Does the issue continue after I disable touch functionality in the ActivManager? - To disable this feature, disconnect the interactive whiteboard's USB cable from your computer, wait 5 seconds, and then reconnect it. While the ActivBoard LED is flashing amber, click the ActivManager icon in the system tray, then click the Pens tab. In the window that appears, uncheck the Use your fingers to operate the board and Two fingers Scroll options (Mac users only).
If the problem is no longer reported, please report it to technical support, which will advise on what to do next.
If the problem persists, go to the next step.

    6) Disconnect the laptop from the mains so that it is powered only by its own battery, and disconnect all cables (Ethernet, VGA, audio, connections to any peripheral devices) from it, except for the ActivBoard USB cable (you can then control the cursor behavior on laptop screen).
If the problem is resolved, electrical noise from other devices may be causing the problem. Get your interactive whiteboard up and running and start connecting the disconnected cables to your computer one at a time. At the same time, observe, after connecting which of them, the pointer jumps will occur again, and report this to the technical support service, which will tell you what to do next.
If the cursor continues to "jump" even after all cables are disconnected, proceed to the next step.

    7) Turn off all lights, air conditioners and other devices powered by electrical outlets in the same room.
If the problem is resolved, the problem may be caused by electrical noise from devices connected to the electrical network in the room. To identify the source of interference, turn on the devices one by one, and report the results to technical support.
If the cursor continues to "jump" even after all devices are turned off, go to the next step.

    8) If your system is mobile, try moving it to another room.
If the horse racing stops, the problem may be related to the environment in the room. Please inform technical support about it.
If the problem persists, contact technical support for advice on what to do next.

If a calibration problem is still noted, contact technical support (be prepared to provide the serial number of the ActivTable).

  • The ActivTable requires regular cleaning.
We recommend using a handheld vacuum cleaner with a soft brush for this. It removes large particles of dust and dirt from the device that can scratch the surface. Using any attachment other than a soft brush may damage the screen.
After vacuuming, wipe the ActivTable with a cloth lightly dampened with glass cleaner.
The frame and legs of the ActivTable are wiped with a damp cloth.
  • To show the ActivTable to a large audience, it can be displayed on the ActivBoard.
To connect a VGA cable to the ActivTable, you need a VGA to DVI adapter.
The PRM-30, PRM-35 and EST-P1 projectors connect to the ActivTable automatically.
To connect a different projector model, go to the ActivTable main menu, click on Exit and use the Log off option.
Log in to your Windows account, click on the Start button and navigate to Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Display → Clone.
Log out of your Windows account from the Start menu and log back into your ActivTable account.
If the ActivTable is connected to the ActivBoard with a USB cable, you can control the ActivTable from both the ActivTable and the active table. When the ActivTable is connected to the ActivBoard 500, control is limited to single and double touches.
  • First of all, find out the network parameters of your educational institution and the password to access it.
Open the main ActivTable menu, click the Exit button and click the Log off option. Log in to your Windows account, click on the Start button and navigate to Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center.
  • Antivirus protection of the ActivTable is provided by the Microsoft Windows Defender application.

If you wish, you can install other antivirus software, however, it is necessary to take into account a number of provisions, which are given below.

This article is intended for IT personnel and specially trained Promethean installers. Anyone who operates Promethean equipment can refer to this manual, but only those with sufficient experience are recommended to move the equipment or operate the most important components of the operating system.

If your computer is connected to the ActivBoard via USB and the ActivPen is not working, it is most likely that the ActivBoard was not detected.

Make sure to install the latest version of the ActivDriver driver. When the installation is complete, the ActivManager icon appears in the notification area or on the taskbar (depending on the operating system). Click the icon ActivManager and select Control Panel.

In the tab Equipment You can check the version of the ActivDriver installed on your computer and compare it with the version in the ActivDriver download page. If you have an earlier version of the ActivDriver installed on your computer, update it by downloading the appropriate file from the ActivDriver download page. If you are using Linux OS, see the article for more information.

After updating the ActivDriver, make sure the ActivBoard appears in the tab Equipment... If the ActivBoard is not detected by the computer, make sure the cables are securely connected and that power is connected to the ActivBoard. Try using other USB ports on your computer.

If the ActivBoard is detected by the computer but the ActivPen is not working, go to the tab Pens and make sure the option is selected Mouse.

Close the window and click the ActivManager icon in the notification area. Please select Calibration, then Fast or Accurate... Follow the instructions displayed on the ActivBoard. To close the windows, click on the cross with the ActivPen. If the ActivPen is inactive, use a different ActivPen.

If you see a red X (X) on the ActivManager icon, the ActivBoard was not detected by the computer. Make sure all cables are connected correctly, including the USB cable plugged into the upper left corner of the back of the ActivBoard. Come back on ActivManager Control Panel and check the tab Equipment... If there is no ActivBoard on the tab, check for a wall box or any adapters.

Restart the ActivBoard by unplugging the board and unplugging the USB cable. If you have a Promethean ActivBoard, turn off the projector using the remote control, wait for the fans to stop, then unplug the device.

Connect the device to the network and connect the USB cable. Click the icon ActivManager and select Control Panel... If the ActivBoard appears on the tab Equipment, the board has been recognized by the computer and you can use the ActivPen.

If the ActivBoard was not recognized, Windows users should right-click the icon My computer and choose Control... Open up Device Manager then select User interface devices... If any device has an error status (yellow exclamation mark), see the article for more information on how to manually update a device driver.

If none of the devices in this section have an error status and you cannot see the Promethean ActivBoard, follow these steps.

Disconnect any adapters or extension cords from the ActivBoard and computer, and connect only the cables that came with the ActivBoard. Promethean devices do not support the use of third-party cables, including USB extension cables or adapters. More information can be found in the article. Select again Device Manager to check if the computer detects the ActivBoard.

If you are using a wall box for the ActivBoard, provide a workaround by disconnecting the USB cable and connecting the ActivBoard directly to your computer using a 5 m (16 ft) USB cable. Also try using all USB ports on your computer.

If there is an error status, update the ActivDriver manually by following the instructions in the article. If you see Promethean ActivBoard, close Device Manager and click the icon ActivManager in the notification area. Please select Control Panel and make sure the ActivBoard appears in the tab Equipment.

If the ActivManager does not detect the ActivBoard, connect another computer that works well with other ActivBoards. Alternatively, you can connect this computer to another working ActivBoard to ensure that it is working properly.

If the problem still persists, contact Promethean Technical Support.

  1. Interactive mode

There are two ways to start working in Interactive mode:

    Select Interactive mode in the Device Manager menu (see Fig. 5);

Press the corresponding button on the Interactive Whiteboard (see Fig. 3)

In interactive mode, you can control your computer directly from the surface of your interactive whiteboard. In interactive mode, the Interwrite Toolbar appears on the right side of the screen.

  1. Office Mode

This mode is designed to work with MS Office documents: MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. All changes made in this mode are saved in the original document file. You have the ability to work directly with documents, and not with screenshots.

To start working in Office mode, select Office Mode from the Device Manager menu (see Figure 5)

Toolbar- The main control for the interactive whiteboard software. The toolbar is always on the screen and provides access to the software menu. The toolbar contains icons for the most used tools.

The interactive whiteboard software is easy to use. To get the desired result, you need to remember simple rules:

    Select the required tool (if the purpose of the tool is not clear, just move the mouse pointer over its image and read the hint);

    Perform the desired action (get the result);

The toolbar can be moved around the screen, as well as resized. To do this, you need to perform the desired operations with the mouse, "grabbing" the borders of the Toolbar. See Appendix 1 for a description of the tools. The Toolbar contains the Toolbar icon (Figure 7). It contains icons of those tools that are used less frequently than the tools on the Toolbar. NS

Figure 7. Toolbox

The rules for working with the Toolbar are standard for all tools. Clicking on the image of the tool launches its function. For example, when you click on the pen, you can make your own notes.

Let's take a look at a few of the most important tools in the Toolbox.

Screen keyboard

When working with your interactive whiteboard, you often need to use typed text rather than handwritten text. For example, when entering a large amount of text, creating captions for figures, etc. If you are directly at the board, it is more convenient to use the so-called "On-Screen Keyboard" (Figure 8). It fully provides the functionality of a conventional keyboard.

The onscreen keyboard icon is located in the Toolbox.

In order to switch the layout of the on-screen keyboard from Russian to English and vice versa, press the marker first Alt, then Shift.

Figure 8. Screen keyboard

Filming

The Capture tool is used to take a screenshot of the entire screen or part of the screen. The tool is in the toolbox.

Surveying is necessary to add notes to the desktop, application windows, open documents, or Internet sites. The part of the screen selected with this tool will become available for editing and adding notes. You can choose from four possibilities of using this tool (fig. 9):

Figure 9. Survey tool

    In Partial mode, using the Survey cursor, select the area of the screen, the snapshot of which is to be saved;

    In Freeform mode, using a marker, you need to select an arbitrary area of the screen, a screenshot of which you want to save;

    In Window mode, a snapshot of each open window is saved when you hover the Survey cursor over it;

Screen mode saves a snapshot of the entire screen. Snapshots in this mode are always added to a new blank page.

Spotlight

The Spotlight tool is used to show a small area of the screen and hide the rest. When the tool is selected, the screen turns black (by default) and a circle appears on it, behind which you can see the contents of the page.

The circle cursor can be moved around the screen to display different parts of the page. The tool settings button will appear at the bottom of the screen. By clicking on it, you can change the shape of the spotlight, as well as the color and transparency of the curtain covering the rest of the screen.

A spotlight is convenient to use to grab the audience's attention. When there are several objects on the screen at the same time, you can select the object in question at the moment and hide the rest.

NS
torca

The Curtain tool is used to hide a specific part of the screen. A shutter is a rectangular area beyond which the content of the page is not visible. The “handles” on the four sides of the Curtain allow you to open it to reveal a portion of a hidden page.

When a tool is selected, its settings panel appears at the bottom of the page.

On it, you can select the color and transparency of the curtain, as well as expand the curtain to full screen or close it.
