Convector from txt to fb2. Converter to fb2 - free htmlDocs2fb2 program. Using online conversion resources

In some situations, users need to convert text from FB2 books to TXT format. Let's see in what ways this can be done.

You can immediately distinguish two main groups of ways to convert FB2 to TXT. The first of them is carried out using online services, and for the application of the second, software that is installed on a computer is used. It is the second group of methods that we will consider in this article. The most correct conversion in this direction is carried out by special converter programs, but this procedure can also be performed with the help of some text editors and readers. Let's look at the algorithms for performing this task using specific applications.

Method 1: Notepad ++

First of all, let's see how you can make a transformation in the studied direction using one of the most powerful text editors Notepad ++.

  1. Start Notepad ++. Click on the icon in the folder image on the toolbar.

    If you are more accustomed to actions using the menu, then use the transition by "File" and "Open"... Application Ctrl + O will do too.

  2. The object selection window is launched. Find the directory where the original FB2 book is located, select it and click "Open".
  3. The text content of the book, including tags, will be displayed in the Notepad ++ shell.
  4. But in most cases, the tags in the TXT file are useless, so it would be a good idea to remove them. Erasing them by hand is tedious, but Notepad ++ can automate the whole thing. If you do not want to delete tags, then you can skip all further steps that are aimed at this and go directly to the procedure for saving the object. Those users who want to delete should click "Search" and select from the list "Replacement" or apply "Ctrl + H".
  5. The search box is launched in the tab "Replacement"... In field "Find" enter the expression as in the image below. Field "Replaced by" leave blank. To make sure that it is really empty, and not occupied, for example, by spaces, place the cursor in it and press the Backspace key on the keyboard until the cursor reaches the left border of the field. In the block "Search Mode" be sure to set the radio button to position "Regular. expressed. "... Then you can press "Replace All".
  6. After you close the search box, you will see that all the tags that were in the text have been found and removed.
  7. Now is the time to convert to TXT format. Click "File" and choose "Save as…" or use a combination Ctrl + Alt + S.
  8. The save window starts. Open the folder where you want to place the finished text material with the TXT extension. In the area of "File type" choose from the drop-down list "Normal text file (* .txt)"... If you wish, you can also change the name of the document in the area "File name", but you don't have to. Then click "Save".
  9. Now the content will be saved in TXT format and will be located in the area of the file system that the user himself has designated in the save window.

Method 2: AlReader

Not only text editors can reformat an FB2 book into TXT, but also some readers, for example, AlReader.

  1. Launch AlReader. Click "File" and select "Open file".

    Alternatively, you can right-click ( PKM) along the inner area of the reader shell and select from the context menu "Open file".

  2. Each of these actions initiates the activation of the opening window. Find the directory where the original FB2 is located and check the given e-book. Then press "Open".
  3. The content of the object will be displayed in the reader shell.
  4. Now you need to perform the reformatting procedure. Click "File" and select "Save as TXT".

    Or, use an alternative action, which consists in clicking on any internal area of the program interface PKM... Then you need to sequentially go through the menu items "File" and "Save as TXT".

  5. Compact window activated "Save as TXT"... In the area from the drop-down list, you can select one of the types of outgoing text encoding: UTF-8 (by default) or Win-1251. To start the conversion, click Apply.
  6. After that the message will appear "File converted!", which means that the object was successfully converted to the selected format. It will be located in the same folder as the source.

A significant drawback of this method over the previous one is that the AlReader reader does not provide the user with the opportunity to choose the location of the converted document, since it saves it in the same place where the source is placed. But, unlike Notepad ++, in AlReader you do not need to bother with removing tags, since the application performs this action completely automatically.

Method 3: AVS Document Converter

Many document converters, to which AVS Document Converter belongs, cope with the task set in this article.

  1. Open the program. First of all, you should add the source. Click on "Add files" in the center of the converter interface.

    You can click on the button of the same name on the toolbar.

    For those users who are used to always referring to the menu, there is also an option to launch the add window. Required to click on items "File" and "Add files".

    Those for whom the control of "hot" keys is closer, have the possibility of using Ctrl + O.

  2. Each of the named actions leads to the launch of the window for adding a document. Find the directory where the FB2 book is located and select this item. Click "Open".

    However, you can add the source without launching the opening window. To do this, drag the FB2 book from "Explorer" to the graphic boundaries of the converter.

  3. The FB2 content will appear in the AVS preview area. Now you should specify the final conversion format. To do this, in the group of buttons "Output format" click "In TXT".
  4. You can make minor conversion settings by clicking on the blocks Format Options, "Convert" and Extract Images... This will open the corresponding setting fields. In the block Format Options you can choose from the drop-down list one of three options for encoding the output TXT text:
    • UTF-8;
    • ANSI;
    • Unicode.
  5. In the block "Rename" you can choose one of three options in the list "Profile":
    • Original name;
    • Text + Counter;
    • Counter + Text.

    In the first version, the name of the resulting object remains the same as that of the source. In the last two cases, the field becomes active "Text" where you can enter the desired name. Operator "Counter" means that if the file names match or if you would apply a group conversion, then to the specified in the field "Text" name, a number will be added before or after the name, depending on which option was selected in the field "Profile": "Text + Counter" or "Counter + Text".

  6. In the block Extract Images it is possible to extract pictures from the source FB2, since the outgoing TXT does not support displaying pictures. In field Destination folder you should specify the directory in which these pictures will be placed. Then press Extract Images.
  7. By default, the output is saved in the directory "My documents" current user profile, which you can see in the area "Output folder"... If you need to change the final TXT location directory, click "Overview…".
  8. Activated "Browse folders"... Navigate in the shell of this tool to the directory where you want to store the converted material, and click "OK".
  9. Now the address of the selected area will appear in the UI element "Output folder"... Everything is ready for reformatting, so click "Start!".
  10. The process of reformatting the FB2 e-book into the TXT text format is in progress. The dynamics of this process can be monitored by data that is displayed as a percentage.
  11. After the completion of the procedure, a window will appear, where it is said about the successful completion of the conversion, and it will also be offered to move to the storage directory of the received TXT. To do this, click "Open. folder ".
  12. Will open "Conductor" in the folder where the resulting text object is placed, with which you can now perform any manipulations available for the TXT format. You can view it using special programs, edit, move and perform other actions.

The advantage of this method over the previous ones is that the converter, unlike text editors and readers, allows you to process a whole group of objects at the same time, thereby saving a significant amount of time. The main drawback is that the AVS application is paid.

Method 4: Notepad

If all the previous methods for solving the task involved the installation of special software, then working with the built-in text editor of Windows Notepad, this is not required.

  1. Open Notepad. In most versions of Windows, this can be done via the button "Start" in folder "Standard"... Click "File" and choose "Open…"... Using Ctrl + O.
  2. The opening window is launched. Be sure to see the FB2 object, in the field for specifying the type of formats from the list, select "All files" instead of "Text documents"... Find the directory where the source is located. After selecting it from the drop-down list into the box "Encoding" select option "UTF-8"... If after opening the object "krakozyabry" is displayed, then try to open it again, changing the encoding to any other, doing similar manipulations until the text content is displayed correctly. After the file is selected and the encoding is indicated, click "Open".
  3. The FB2 content will open in Notepad. Unfortunately, this text editor does not work with regular expressions the way Notepad ++ does. Therefore, working in Notepad, you either have to accept the presence of tags in the outgoing TXT, or you have to delete them all manually.
  4. After you have decided what to do with the tags and performed the appropriate manipulations or left everything as it is, you can proceed to the save procedure. Click "File"... Next, select the item "Save as…".
  5. The save window is activated. Use it to move to the file system directory where you want to place TXT. Actually, without additional need, no further adjustments can be made in this window, since the type of the saved file in Notepad will in any case be TXT, for the reason that this program cannot save documents in any other format without additional manipulations. But if desired, the user has the ability to change the name of the object in the area "File name" and also select the encoding of the text in the area "Encoding" from the list with the following options:
    • UTF-8;
    • ANSI;
    • Unicode;
    • Unicode Big Endian.

    After all the settings that you consider necessary for execution have been made, click "Save".

  6. The text object with the TXT extension will be saved in the directory specified in the previous window, where you can find it for further manipulations.

    The only advantage of this conversion method over the previous ones is that you do not need to install additional software to use it, you can only use the system tools. In almost all other aspects, manipulations in Notepad are inferior to the programs described above, since this text editor does not allow mass conversion of objects and does not solve the problem with tags.

We have examined in detail the actions in individual copies of various groups of programs that can convert FB2 to TXT. For batch conversion of objects, only special conversion programs like AVS Document Converter are suitable. But given the fact that most of them are paid, for a single conversion in the above direction, separate readers (AlReader, etc.) or advanced text editors like Notepad ++ are quite suitable. In the case when the user still does not want to install additional software, but at the same time the quality of the result at the output does not bother him much, then the task can be solved even with the help of the built-in Windows program - Notepad.

A selection of online converters that support the FB2 format.

You mean, if you need to convert one or two files from time to time, then online converters widely offered on the Internet are quite suitable for this. (If you quite often convert books (documents) to fb2 and at the same time want maximum quality, then no online converter will convert, for example, a book from word to fb2 as well as installed on a computer.)

ebook.online-convert.com
A very popular online converter on the Internet. Allows you to download files from links, there is a small number of configurable settings. In the settings, if you wish, you can select the target device for the best image quality, enter the author of the book, specify the indent from the edge in centimeters, and also specify the encoding in which the book will be. By default, the converter will itself determine the type of encoding. The maximum size of the uploaded file is 100 MB.

convertfileonline.com
Minimalistic interface, without any initial settings for converting and information about the size of uploaded files. After telling the converter which file you are going to download from your computer, it will offer you possible options for processing it.

go4convert.com
A recently launched service that supports a large number of formats. Nice, neat design. It is stated that there is no limit on the size of the uploaded file and everything depends only on the patience of the user.

online-convert.ru
Domestic online service. Download files both from a computer and via a link. There is information about the correctness of work when converting in different directions. You can choose some settings for the output file. Also on the site you can find additional information for those who convert books for readers.

convertfiles.com And at the end I will add one more "bourgeois" site, which I had to use the most often. I did not carry out special comparisons and tests, but as it seemed, the processing in it is the most correct, there are fewer errors and failures in the work. No size restrictions noted. Large selection of output and input formats. It is possible to leave your email so that a link to the processed file will be sent to it - sometimes this is very useful.

I share my own experience in converting Word documents (books or any work structured in a certain way) into reader formats fb2 and epub... I will say right away that directly converting doc to epub none of the several dozen tried programs to the desired result does not lead to the desired result: then there are no footnotes, then the content is duplicated, then something else will necessarily creep out. And even such a giant as "caliber" does not competently cope with this.

The way out is very simple and at the same time useful - you need to convert a Word document to fb2 format. The usefulness lies in the fact that instead of one popular format for different readers, you get two at once, well, plus everything, editing it is much easier than the epub format.

Correct formatting of the original document indoc

So, let's begin to deal with the transformation process itself in the most detailed way. First, you need to make sure that your original text document is formatted and formatted properly. Few people know and use such useful things in the Word as headings, page breaks, footnotes and much more. Here is a small document as an example, a supposed book, which is specially formatted incorrectly. You can download it by clicking on the screenshot.

The ugly design immediately catches the eye: the headings are highlighted only with the help of boldness, the footnotes are simply marked in italics, and each subsequent chapter goes without any slightest break from the previous one. Well, you have to format the text properly. First, let's get rid of the extra paragraphs and make the title of each chapter on a new page, and format it exactly as a Heading. Turn on the display of non-printable characters.

Place the cursor in front of each chapter and press Ctrl + Enter. The specified keyboard shortcut will create a page break and transfer our chapter to a new sheet. Remove the extra line break in front of the chapter title. Select the name itself and go to "Styles". Here you need to select "Heading 1", after which you can continue to format the title: align in the center, change the size and the font itself.

We carry out this procedure with each chapter. What is it for? Firstly, this is the correct formatting of the text, well, and secondly, such markup will greatly help later in the automatic formation of an active (clickable) table of contents on readers.

It remains to deal with the footnotes and our future book is almost ready. Let me remind you that the footnotes are now formatted incorrectly, more precisely, they are not designed at all, but go in solid text.

But this is just an easy fix. We put the cursor directly at the end of the text, after which there should be a footnote and press the Alt + Ctrl + F key combination. A small number, the footnote number, will appear next to the text, and at the end of the page (the cursor will move to the right place) you can insert the footnote text itself.

We arrange all footnotes in the text in a similar way, and this completes the work with the original document. Just in case, I will make a reservation once again that we do not set ourselves the goal of making the document absolutely correct, in accordance with GOST, and so on. We formatted it only so that the next steps would produce correct books in fb2 and epub format.

Convertingdoc infb2

In my opinion, the best, most convenient and most correct program for converting a document to fb2 is "FictionBook Tools". It is the only one of its kind that correctly detects and formats footnotes in fb2. And the speed of her work is gorgeous. So, download the program, install it (or you can use the archive at the end of the article and unpack it to any place on the disk). We put our formatted doc-file "Correct.doc" into the folder with this program and launch the application "doc2fb.hta".

We go into the settings and put a tick “Define footnotes as”. This is if you have footnotes in the original document. If they are not there, then in the settings we have nothing to do at all, everything is already correctly set by default.

Press the button "Convert" and wait for a new item "Converted files" to appear in the "Journal" just below it.

Thus, the program lets us know that the conversion process is over. We look at the folder with the program and find there the appearance of our book already in the fb2 format.

Editingfb2

In principle, the book can already be opened on e-readers and in this form, but I still propose to edit it a little and make it more correct. To do this, you can use the wonderful program "FictionBook Editor", and if you have already eaten more than one dog in this case, then any text editor may well be enough for you. I will consider the editing process through the above program.

So, we launch it (of course, after downloading and installing) and open our book in it. We see that the book is quite readable, and even the cover and footnotes are displayed. But the author and the title of the book are clearly missing, and the epigraph of why looks like a regular text. Therefore, we immediately go to the code editing mode.

The first thing to do is to indicate the genre to which our book belongs. The easiest way to do this is to enter the "Document Description" mode and select the appropriate genre from the drop-down list.

Since we already have a cover, the line

« »

safely delete. And here's this piece of text:

Book title
book author

Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph text Epigraph author

<br> <p>Chapter 1 title</p> <br>

Replace with:

<br>

Epigraph text epigraph text epigraph text epigraph text epigraph text epigraph text epigraph text epigraph text epigraph text epigraph text epigraph text epigraph text

The author of the epigraph

<br> <p>Chapter 1 title</p> <br>

As a result, our code should now look like this:

<br> <p>Notes (edit)</p> <br>

Everything, on this minor edits of the book in fb2 format can be considered finished. It will already be quite correct to open on any reader. But in order to correctly and beautifully design books in the fb2 format, I would recommend that you carefully study the specifications of this format. For example, you can use the nice description at this link.

Convertingfb2 which was obtained fromdoc inepub

This process is probably the simplest we've done so far. To complete it successfully, we need the "caliber" program. After downloading and installing, launch it and add our edited book in fb2 format to it (you can simply drag it to the program window). Our cover and some information about the book will be displayed on the right. In order to get the book in epub format, press the corresponding button at the top.

A large window will open before us with numerous settings for the future book and the conversion process. I will not describe all of them, I will indicate only those that are required for our task.

In the section "Metadata" we check all the attributes of the book: title, author, genre (notes) and others.

In the "Appearance and functions" section in the "Insert font family" item, select the exact font in which, according to our idea, the book will be.

In the "Contents" section, check the "Manually correct the table of contents after the conversion is complete" checkbox.

In the "Import FB2" section, check the "Do not insert the Table of Contents at the beginning of the book" box.

In the "EPUB output" section, check the "Maintain cover aspect ratio" checkbox.

After setting the specified settings, you can click "OK" and the conversion process will start. When the turn comes to the formation of the content, the program will show a window in which you can manually add or remove sections that will be in the content of the book. In our example, footnotes and the title of the book got into the content, which means that you need to delete them by highlighting and pressing the corresponding button.

After cleaning and tweaking the future content, the list looked like this:

Click "OK" and complete the conversion process. The resulting book is saved by default in the folder "C: \ Users \ Username \ Documents \ Caliber Library \" in a nested subfolder with the author's name.

Conclusion

This article does not pretend to be originality and any only possible solution to the problem. It also does not cover all of the available adjustments to the output book formats. Nevertheless, within the framework of a minimal acquaintance with the correct conversion of Word documents into the most popular electronic book formats, this article will be quite enough for you. With the desire and free time, you can always do something better.

Fb2 to txt conversion. How to quickly convert Fb2 to text

In this post I will tell you how to independently, very quickly and without problems convert an fb2 document to txt. (use this program to convert in the opposite direction) E-book users are looking for various special programs or online services for this. But I will tell you about a very simple method that is little known. It consists in the following: if you already have the most common free e-book reader Allreader on your computer, then you do not need to do anything at all. If there is no program, then download it from the office. site (installation is not required), open the fb2 file in it and click the item "File", and then "Save as TXT" see picture.

A book of ANY size will be ready instantly. This is one of the main advantages of this method, because in order to use, for example, an online converter, you need to download, wait, download. Everything here happens instantly, efficiently and safely. By the way, as you can see, the same tutorial can be used to translate fb2 books into both html and PDB formats. Yes, and herself

Converting fb2 to txt format

Modern readers prefer to store e-books in a relatively new, but already well-known fb2 format organizing them with the help of various programs into convenient libraries. This format is built on the basis of tags, with the help of which a document with a certain structure (XML file) is created, which practically recreates a real book on a monitor. The fb2 format is considered to be better suited for reading fiction novels, while it does less well with technical and scientific books. Another problem is presented by some electronic devices that do not support the fb2 format. So, if you can't find a book in electronic libraries in the required format, you have to roll up your sleeves and start converting on your own. fb2 to txt.

For this, special utilities were created. In fact, there are not so many of them, but they are all extremely easy to use, and besides conversion, they have a number of other necessary functions. The most common and easiest to use fb2 to txt converter is FB2toAny or FB2Any. With its help, you can easily convert files fb2 to txt formats, iSilo pdb, rtf, lit and even rb. The process itself consists of three steps: first you need to select the target format, then select the directory in which the processed files will be saved and, finally, confirm the action with the "ok" button. And now, a book in txt format will appear in the selected folder.
Also, many librarian programs have a conversion function. For example, Booki, although designed to automate the sorting of e-books into catalogs, can help convert fb2 file to txt literally with two clicks of the mouse: select the desired file and press the button "fb2 to txt".

The "librarian" ICE Book Reader Professional works on the same principle. Its main purpose is to create a database of literature available on a computer, therefore, before converting files, they must be added to the library. First, we look for the necessary book, add it, and if strange characters pop up in the window that opens instead of readable text, change the text encoding. After the title of the book appears in the list, click on "Export" and select the format and other settings.
Another interesting program with a nice design and interface is AlReader. This utility is a "reader" of electronic texts on PDAs, smartphones, PCs and other devices. A fairly necessary thing in the household; AlReader supports such formats as html, fb2, epub and among a huge number of functions it has a conversion function: it converts the mentioned files to txt, pdb or html. And the process of "rework" itself is reduced to a minimum: open the fb2 book, go to the File menu and save it as txt.
If it is not possible to download the fb2 converter, you can get the required format using the usual "barbaric" method - open the file in a regular notepad and cut out all the xml markup manually. However, it will be much more pleasant to work with one of the programs described above, since they are all free and available on the net. True, experienced users notice that the programs are far from perfect, but be that as it may, at the moment, this is all that developers can provide. It remains to wait and hope for improved versions in the future.
