How to improve PF - practical advice. Definition of the OPF system

Reading time: 5 min

Hello, friends!

This article will be one of the most important for promoting your site.

In it, we will look at behavioral factors, find out their main indicators, and also consider the working methods of increasing them.

This material is very useful after the article about, since there is no point in attracting people if they do not improve the behavioral factor of our site. Everything needs to work in synergy. Therefore, you need to work out everything in a complex.

How to improve behavioral factors, you will learn in this material. In the future, I will often use the generally accepted abbreviation for this concept - PF.

If we give a simple definition of behavioral factors, then this is a set of indicators that evaluate a site based on the behavior of visitors on it. That is, how the visitor behaves on the site. Where he looks, where he clicks, how many pages he views, whether he returns to the site and others.

It is on the basis of these indicators, which we will consider further, that the general opinion of our site from search engines is formed.

At the moment, this is a fundamental factor in the evaluation of a site by search engines. But the evaluation goes, as it were, at the second level of nesting. First, the visitor evaluates the site, and then, based on the visitor's behavior, the search engines form their opinion and raise or lower your site in the SERP.

After all, who, if not ordinary people, can assess the usefulness of a resource to the maximum? Search engines, unfortunately, are not yet able to do this on their own to the fullest. Of course, they evaluate some indicators on their own, for example, the number of referring domains to the site. But it is still impossible to assess the quality of the content itself and the site as a whole on your own. After all, there should be an understanding of whether the content answers the visitor's question and how well does it do it?

And in order to understand all this, there is an assessment of the visitor's behavior on the resource. Many indicators are evaluated, to which we are moving.

But first, I propose to consider all the material in the video below.

Indicators of behavioral factors

As with SEO optimization The behavioral factors fall into 2 categories:

  1. Internal;
  2. External.

Internal indicators include all indicators of visitor behavior within the site. External - site indicators in search results. Let's take a closer look at each group, because each has more than one indicator.

Internal

As usual, everything is in the form of a checklist. I will describe only the main factors that, in my opinion, greatly influence the promotion. All indicators are very closely related.

  • Time spent on the site - this indicator describes the usefulness of the resource based on the time spent by the visitor on it. A bad site can't keep users on long time;
  • The depth of view or the number of views is the number of pages that the visitor viewed when entering the site. If everything is done correctly, then the user will want to view more and more, which means that the site is useful and interesting;
  • The bounce rate is a metric that describes the usefulness of a resource based on the minimum time spent in an article. There is a set minimum time limit. For Yandex, this is 15 seconds. If the visit lasts less than this value, then this is a clear sign that the content does not answer the user to his question. After all, what can be read in 15 seconds. Even the smallest volume of 1500-2000 characters cannot be studied in such a time;

Therefore, if the bounce rate for some pages is more than 15-20%, then it is worth analyzing them. It means that the user either does not receive an answer to his question, or he does not see what he wanted at all. For example, he wanted to see some kind of step-by-step algorithm of actions, but he was shown an ordinary story.

The bounce rate for each visit can be analyzed using the webvisor in the Yandex metrics counter. With this feature, you can understand why visitors close the page and take steps to improve it. If you still do not have this functionality, then be sure to read the article about. There I told about everything in the text, and also recorded 2 detailed video tutorials.

  • Return rate - many underestimate this factor, although it is one of the most important. If a visitor returns to your site after the 1st visit, then behavioral factors add a "plus" to their piggy bank.

These are, perhaps, the most basic factors that I work only in combination. To improve them to the maximum extent, you need to constantly analyze people's visits and work out the content. We'll look at the main points and their improvements after discussing the external PFs.

External

As mentioned above, external behaviors are user behavior on the SERP. That is, the visitor has entered a specific request in Yandex and he is issued from sites, which supposedly should answer his question. And here external behavioral factors come into play.

The main and, perhaps, the only indicator, I would single out the CTR in the search results.

CTR in SERP is the click-through rate of your site on the search page. The visitor is presented with many sites when looking for an answer to a request. As a rule, eyes always immediately pay attention to the first sites, since it is logical that they have a full detailed answer.

But, if our site for a certain request is, for example, in the 7th position and the visitor immediately clicks on it, and not on the first resources, then we will receive an increase. But this is quite difficult to achieve. How? Again, next.

I will also highlight one more factor that can be simultaneously attributed to both external and internal.

We are talking about an indicator called how to return to search results. That is, does the user return to the search page to look for an answer to their question after visiting our site.

Agree, if a user has received a clear and comprehensive answer to his question, then with a high degree of probability he will no longer go to search to climb on other sites. I can’t say for sure what will be a "plus" if the search for an answer ends with our site. But, if there is a return to the search results, then this is a sure signal that our page either does not fully respond to the search query, or does not answer it at all.

So, now I'll tell you about working chips, how to improve the behavior of visitors on the site in all respects.

How to improve behavioral factors?

As such, there are no ways to improve each factor separately. Therefore, you need to approach everything in a comprehensive manner, which I do not stop talking about.

Focusing only on each method separately, we will not achieve the desired effect and bad indicators will overlap good ones.

And in general, there are no ways to improve. There are no secret tricks that will make visitors behave better on the site. Many people think that by putting similar notes at the end of the materials, they will achieve more transitions and so on.

But in fact, improving the PF is possible only by improving the site itself. His concept in general. There are no secret chips.

When it comes to improving internal factors, remember 3 things:

  1. Content;
  2. Usability;
  3. Design.

Let's analyze each point in more detail.

By content, I mean many factors:

  • The answer to the question and its completeness - at a glance, the visitor should understand whether he will receive an answer to his question. To do this, write clear headlines and write what the visitor learns from the first lines. Also disclose the topic in full, if necessary and possible;
  • Readability - that is, so that it is convenient to perceive. Its structure is responsible for this. There will be a separate article about this, in which we will analyze how to properly format the content;
  • Usefulness and interestingness - the more useful and interesting the content, the more time the visitor will study it. Here it is very important to do the points of grabbing attention. The more there are, the more attention to your content and the longer the visit time. To do this, use images, videos, tables, polls, and so on.

Usability - ease of use of a website. Its structure (the location of all elements) and, of course, design is responsible for this. There will also be detailed materials about these elements. Here I will just say that the design should not distract from the content. The site is, first of all, content. So don't make it something colorful and flashing.

We sorted out the internal factors. It all comes down to bringing the site to maximum usefulness and convenience.

To improve external behavioral factors, you need to work hard with drawing up a snippet, since it is he who is responsible for the click-through rate of the SERP.

Snippet is short description a specific page or the site as a whole in the search results.

The more competent and attractive we compose it, the more clicks there will be. But this snippet must actually display the content of the page so that the visitor does not immediately close it.

Here are the basic rules for how to form a snippet:

  • Title - consists of the main keyword with possible additions for attractiveness or a tail from a lower-frequency request;

For example, if I promote a page for the query "Image optimization", then I can add the phrase "for the site" and then I get a lower low-frequency query. This page will be visible for more requests and gives a more complete understanding of the article itself. After all, image optimization is a loose concept.

  • Description is the piece of text that is displayed under the heading. It should display the content of the page as accurately and fully as possible - this is the perfect description. A piece of text, as a rule, is taken from the corresponding field, which we fill in when adding a page. It can also be taken from the text itself on the page and you need to work with this item;
  • Keyword in the page url - this parameter not so much determines the site's click-through rate as the previous 2, but using this moment, you can also improve the conversion rates from search;
  • Favicon - of course it should be. And the better it is, the greater the effect.

So, by doing all of the above steps, you can significantly improve the behavioral factors on the site. No need to focus on all sorts of fresh and popular posts in every block of the site. There will be no effect from them. Yes, no one denies that you will get some additional page views thanks to this functionality, but the main purpose of these gadgets goes a little deeper, which I will talk about in the following articles.

So, friends! The conclusion from all of the above can be made as follows.

To improve behavioral factors, we make the site as useful and convenient for people as possible, and then no bounce rates and low time spent on the site will be scary.

In conclusion, one more interesting video by behavioral.

On this I will end this material. If suddenly I forgot something, then correct me, please. Anything can happen.

Also write your observations and opinions. Let's discuss this very interesting topic in the promotion of sites on the Internet.

On this I will round off. See you.

Best regards, Konstantin Khmelev!

Behavioral factors- these are all user actions on the site:

  • visits to the site;
  • time spent on the site;
  • clicks on links on the site;
  • repeated returns to the site;
  • viewing depth (the number of clicks within the site);
  • bounce rate (users leave the site after viewing one page);
  • page click-through rate in search results (number of clicks from search engines).

These factors are taken into account by search engines when ranking. Simply put, its position in search results will depend to some extent on how active the site's users are. The idea of using behavioral factors in ranking is as simple as possible: provide users with content (articles, videos, music files, pictures, etc.), which has passed a kind of test for compliance with expectations. The introduction of behavioral factors into the ranking results improved the quality of web resources, their overall usefulness and competitiveness.

Learn more about behavioral factors and their optimization

  1. Site CTR (click-through rate in search results).
    The more clicks from search engines, the more profitable the site looks in the eyes of the latter. It happens that the site that settled in the eighth place in the search results has a CRT indicator higher than the one in the first place. It is more useful for users, which means that the search engine can promote it higher in the SERP, despite the fact that competitors have a larger link mass.
    How to optimize?
    Here you need to work with the snippet (a short description of the site), the title (the Title meta tag) and the URL. The correct title is as informative as possible, contains keywords and grabs attention. To create a high-quality snippet, it is recommended to use. With it, the page description will be as informative as possible for users, which will attract their attention, and therefore increase the CRT. As for the URL, it should be as user-friendly as possible (CNC). There shouldn't be any addresses like site.ru/54f?>33/stranica_1.html!
  2. Attendance.
    This is the full volume of visitors to the resource from all sources (from forums, social networks, blogs, bookmarks, thematic sites, as well as direct visits). Here, search engines take into account how many people visited the site, and from how many sources.
    How to optimize?
    Everything is simple here: the more channels for attracting users to the site, the better. Therefore, if there is minimal traffic from any direction, then this is a signal to start active actions in this direction. Traffic optimization is the first step towards moving users from the “visitors” category to the “buyers” category.
  3. User behavior.
    • Refusals. These are visitors who, after viewing one page, left the site. The higher this indicator, the worse.
    • Time on site. The time interval during which the visitor was on the pages of the site.
    • Depth of view. Here, too, everything is quite simple: the more pages the user has visited, the more they are interested in the site.
    How to optimize?
    In order to minimize bounces and increase the time spent on the site / the number of pages viewed, the resource should be saturated with interesting content and services. If there are no transitions on the links (links) on the pages, this is a "wake-up call". Search engines may consider such links unnecessary, which can lead to a decrease in the site in the search results. Internal linking (oh we) will help to solve the problem. Links should be placed in the body of the content (in the text), in the “similar posts” blocks. Links should be as clear as possible for users. If visitors follow the links, the bounce rate will decrease significantly, and the time spent on the site will increase, as will the number of pages viewed. Links to other resources are also necessary: however, if there are no clicks on them, the search engine may consider them "venal".
    In addition, you should pay attention to the speed of the hosting (the page load time depends on this) and the usability of the site. And finally, you just need to post only high-quality and unique content that will be useful to users.
  4. The core of the audience.
    This is a special category of users who visit the site regularly. The frequency of visits can be completely different: once a day or once a week. Such users come to the site most often from bookmarks.
    How to optimize?
    Here you should pay special attention to the usability of the site, as well as to high-quality and relevant content. The popularity of the resource among users depends on how convenient and understandable the resource is. Agree, even high-quality content will not save a site if it is simply inconvenient to use it. Well, high-quality content (text and multimedia) is generally the most important "whale" that keeps the interest of regular users or those who are going to become regular users. You can read about how to write articles for people correctly here. At the same time, do not forget about keywords ah, which should be embedded in the text as harmoniously as possible.

Dishonest Methods to Improve Behavioral Factors

Some SEOs prefer not to mess around and use the services of special services. So, the site userator.ru gained some fame. Here publishers can hire users for a certain fee, who will spend enough time on the pages of the desired resource, will click on links from other sites and from search engines, and will also actively behave (view not one, but many pages) ...

Should you use this method of improving behavioral factors to increase your rankings in search results? Well, in fact, no one forbids it. But this is the only method of black optimization, which the RIGHT optimizer will disdain to use.

Methods for accounting for behavioral factors

So how do you track behavioral factors? How to understand which aspects of the site's work and promotion are subject to improvement? It's very simple: you need to use one of the statistics tools. Let's consider the most popular one - Yandex.Metrica.

Yandex.Metrica tools:

conclusions

When working on website promotion, do not forget about behavioral factors. After all, the whole point is to make sites meaningful, convenient and useful for users. And the easiest way to solve this problem is to observe and analyze user actions on the site.

Subscribe and bookmark the site! A lot of interesting things about earnings and finances are waiting for you! 15 people are working on the blog

[collapse]

I will give an example, let's say your Internet project is in the first place in the search results for the request "recipe for sauerkraut", for this request 2955 people come to you per month (according to Yandex statistics), and if 2000 people after switching to you, immediately return to the search (that is, they lingered for less than 15 seconds), then a certain conclusion can be drawn from this.

Conclusion: the majority of users did not find the information you need and your page does not correspond 100% to the request, as a result of which the search engine algorithms, based on the statistics of user behavior collected by them, will draw a conclusion and lower your blog in the search results, precisely for this request.

Also, search engines collect statistics on behavioral factors in the very search results, imagine the issuance of Yandex for any request, not all visitors will click on the web resource that is in the first place, but will go to the Internet site whose description managed to attract and interest them.

So, if the majority of people in the search results click on the second site, then in a similar way the search engine algorithms will conclude that the second resource is raised in the search results, and accordingly the first one is lowered, but of course the PF on the resource itself will be taken as well.

So, search engines evaluate the behavior of visitors both on your website and in their own SERPs, and they keep statistics on this.

Statistics are collected for specific requests and every day it is accumulated, and over time, PSs will conclude about the quality of the entire web site, and whether people need this site at all !!!

How search engines collect statistics on behavioral factors.

Why do search engines collect behavioral statistics I think you understand, but how do they collect it from each web site?

Well, collecting statistics on behavioral factors in the search results itself is not a big deal, but with statistics on user behavior on the resources of webmasters it is already more difficult.

The first most common way is the offer of the search engines themselves to install on your site a counter to collect statistics on user behavior, this statistics can be used by the webmasters themselves.

It is very convenient to find out how many people came to your blog, where they came from, how much time they spent, how many internal transitions they made, what queries came from search engines, and so on, so many webmasters use this offer, and search engines, in turn, use this by collecting statistics on the behavior of visitors.

Search engine google systems there is google counter Analytics, and search engine Yandex offers a Yandex Metrica counter, I told about how to properly install this analytics tool in the article:, and in the article, I talked about important terms that you should know, follow the link there is a detailed video!

By the way, Yandex Metrica provides statistics on button clicks social networks, the script of these buttons is also provided by Yandex, in the article:, I described in detail how to install them.

Also, the collection of statistics on user behavior is carried out directly from your browsers, many network users have a Yandex bar that sends necessary information search engine Yandex.

There is also an opinion that Yandex uses the statistics of the most popular counter in Runet Livinternet, I think there is no need to talk about this super-counter, everyone knows about it.

That's how it is, it all happens!

Influence of behavioral factors.

When a user turns to a search, he needs a result that is very similar to selection by a human, not a robot.

Therefore, search engine algorithms try to imitate a person, for this they take a number of measures.

Let's say Yandex uses two technologies to imitate a person, oh collecting statistics of behavioral factors I have already said, and besides this there are expert assessors.

That is, specially trained people work for Yandex who manually evaluate the search results pages according to a number of criteria and general impression.

And now, if any webmaster is able to manage behavioral factors, then it will not work to manage specialists, if they recognized your project as not corresponding to a specific request, then you will not be able to rise in the search results.

Behavioral Factors - Species.

At the beginning of the article, I already mentioned some types of user behavior, and now I will put everything on the shelves.

Behavioral Factors - Species

1. Site clickability in search results.

2. Total website traffic.

Also, search engines take into account very important behavioral factor, as the number of visits from different web sites, if you are engaged, then you should have enough transitions from Facebook, Twitter, contact, and so on.

And if many users come to you from various Internet sites, then the search engine algorithms will give you one more plus sign.

3. Bounce rate.

This is one of the most important behavioral factors that all search engines take into account.

A refusal is when a user has viewed only one page of your resource and left it, that is, he considered that he was no longer interested in anything here, I talked about this in detail in the article - by clicking on the link you will find out how to significantly reduce refusals.

Currently, Yandex has revised its attitude to this behavioral factor and considers the visitor to spend less than 15 seconds on your blog as a refusal, and if he stayed longer than this time, then this will not be a refusal.

4. The time spent by the visitor on the site.

It is also a very important behavioral factor, the time spent on your resource, the more time people will stay on your project, the better search engines will treat it, considering that there are a lot of useful information.

Therefore, all webmasters need, by hook or by crook, to manage to stay at their guests for as long as possible!

5. The number of pages viewed by visitors.

Everything is clear here, the more users walk around your project, that is, they make internal transitions, which means your project is interesting to users.

Usually, in different metrics there is information about what percentage of visitors viewed only one page, or two, three, and so on, you need to strive for the visitor to view as much information as possible.

6. Returns to the site.

Search engines take into account new and old visitors, that is, if old readers often return to your project, it will be very good, one more plus is provided for you.

Refunds can be arranged by subscribing to new article comments and general RSS feeds.

So, from all of the above, we can conclude: every webmaster needs to strive to keep users on their website as long as possible, and force them to make a lot of internal transitions, you need to attract people from other resources and also recruit their regular readers who will be on the way out new publication to return to you.

Optimization of behavioral factors, or we keep the visitor on our site.

To begin with, I will say that there are special services, thanks to which you can very dashingly advance in the search engine results! What they do, they just wind up the PF, these are the services:

Be sure to watch the webinar, it shows cases of successful promotion in PF:

Optimizing behavioral factors is very difficult, the webmaster can only try to improve the navigation and offer something interesting.

First, the page to which the user came must contain the answer to his question, otherwise he will immediately leave.

Therefore, you need to write and optimize articles for a specific request, that is. This is done firstly in order to rise in the search results for the desired query (which many people are looking for), and in order for the page to meet the expectations of the person (if you do everything right, you will see how your pf improves).

In addition to the correct writing of an article for a specific request, it is necessary to correctly design the publication for improvement, so to speak, for ease of reading, follow the link and you will learn how to do it correctly.

Highly good way improve the statistics of behavioral factors, this is to create an output of articles of similar topics, and create, that is, intelligently offer visitors to read something else.

Internal linking is just the main point in promoting an Internet resource, and of course in improving statistics of behavioral factors, if done correctly, you can significantly increase both the number of pages viewed and the time spent on the site, according to the link I gave above. I told how I do the linking.

It is imperative to create a sitemap, it will simplify the user's walking on your project, and will certainly improve the behavioral factor, we read about creating a map on WordPress - and.

You can place any interesting video on your project, preferably a thematic one, in order to keep the person on the page longer.

And of course, you definitely need to take care of the return of users to your Internet project, for this you need to organize your own news channel, that is, RSS.

This is already implemented on the WordPress engine, but on Joomla it is not very good, how to properly configure RSS on Joomla read the article:.

But rss alone is not enough, you need to create a subscription to mailboxes, for this we run rss through Feedburner.

And of course, set a counter about the number of your subscribers, this will give credibility to your project if the number of subscribers goes over 1000.

It's just that many users pay attention to the number of subscribers, and if there are a lot of them, then they also think that this resource has a lot of interesting things and automatically subscribe.

I described this whole procedure about the counter and the soap subscription form in the article:

Well, I think that's enough talking for today about behavioral factors, we will return to them in other articles.

    Whatever one may say, and behavioral factors + quality content, these are two MOST important factors when promoting sites (blogs). And if earlier behavioral ones could be easily and cheaply cheated, thereby rising in search engines, now it works exactly the opposite. Search engines have learned to identify natural PFs from artificial ones. And if you nevertheless decide to cheat behavioral, then by about 90% you will receive a filter from search engines. Therefore, you need to write high-quality, unique and useful content; work with the audience (visitors) and promote on social networks.

    Serik don't talk nonsense, look at the Yandex metrics webvisor! that's how it follows, if I see that the visitor was on the page for 3 seconds and left, then the search engine collects statistics even more! You are just not in the subject at all :) Even if the metric is not set on the site, then in the browser all Yandex or Google extensions are installed, they transmit information! but everyone has both a metric and an internet connection ...

    2013-12-18T11: 17: 04 + 00: 00

    to be honest about the refusals, you wrote nonsense, how the search engine will track how long you have been on the site, so you went from the search to any site and stayed for 3 seconds and left for a different resource, he can calculate if the user has gone through the search for 3 seconds on the site and went back to google search, or if you use google chrome, then maybe they are following, otherwise not how!

    The article is good, with its pros and cons. Let me contribute. The main thing that is missing is the conclusion that these factors have some kind of "aggregate", on the basis of which the game of site ranking in the PS takes place. By itself, clickability costs nothing, I’m not telling you that there’s no point in a beautiful title if there’s a sad rewriting behind it. The most important thing in behavioral factors is website behavior. For initially, when the site just appears in the search results, it is the first visitors who accidentally come in that form the PF of the site, i.e. the main factors are the time spent on the site and the depth of the browsing. Also transitions to the site from bookmarks and direct visits. you can see about it here Clickability and links - it's all cool, but still the most important thing is the actions on the site. Although there are back side- for example "taxi" sites. They are visited purely to find out the phone number and so on with ten to twenty sites ... And at the same time they are also ranked, i.e. as already mentioned, behavioral factors work in combination .. =)

    2013-06-11T18: 06: 33 + 00: 00

    Hello Sergey! Thank you for reading my blog, and for DYa :) Always glad to regular readers! 1) Internal transitions are recorded if the user's activity on the site is interrupted for more than half an hour, but the user does not close the browser window. After the resumption of activity, a new "visit" of the user is created, for which this type will be specified as the source. that is, that “Open in a new window”, that just clicking on a link is the same thing. 2) I often see this picture in the Metrics Webvisor! This is certainly very good for the PF site, the Dogs see and appreciate it all. They see that the user, who has been on one page for a long time, his behavior indicates that he is carefully reading, then switches to another open tab and reads there for a long time, and so on. Even if the visitor, after reading the article, simply skimmed through these open pages it's much better when he just read the article and walked out. 3) In this option, the site on which the user spends more time wins (not just open tab, and the behavior should be exactly the reading person - moves the mouse over the text, selected part of the text, etc.) well, and also, if you made clicks on the links! and if this situation repeats, then the site that constantly wins will go up (of course, it all depends on the request), if the low frequency goes up one or two, but if the midrange-VK or high frequency, then other factors are needed to rise in the issue ... This is my opinion that I checked. Until recently, there was such a program from the mega-index that was installed on the computers of users who exchanged visits in automatic mode for cheating PF, and so I managed to test it! She did about the same, only she quickly closed the sites of competitors, and on the promoted site she made the appearance of reading and a couple of internal transitions. So, low-frequency requests went up by one or two, while competitors were down.

    2013-06-11T12: 37: 05 + 00: 00

    Hello Maxim! Something I started to read your blog, on a par with Shakin, Sosnovsky and Ditry (Who's new). Well, you write simply and clearly. I know how to thank - DYa :) Tc ... Do not worry, all the way and naturally, at a minimum :) Maxim, the question about PF has been haunted for a long time. 1) If the user has followed the internal link on the site page to another page of the same site not as before, in a classic way, but by clicking on the link "Open in a new window" or "Open in a new tab". What will the Search Engine think about it? Does he think this is like a normal transition (just a click on a link)? Or does he not count it as an internal transition? 2) And more. From the same opera. Let's say the user is interested in several similar articles, the list of which is displayed at the end of the article. And he took and opened similar articles he liked from that page, but all - in new tabs (well, or in windows) of his browser. And then he simply reads them all sequentially, opening the already loaded tabs. How will it look in the eyes of the PS, in relation to the PF? Or, the user entered a query into the search engine, got the results, and opened, say, about 5-7 results (links) in new tabs (windows), and then does everything as described above. What do search engines think about it? Will they consider that the user clicked on only one link (which was opened first)? Or how? What is your opinion? And, if there is, how can you confirm it? Or is this an assumption? And what opinions (assumptions) will other visitors of this site have?

    2011-06-27T07: 37: 45 + 00: 00

    Hi Maxim. It seemed that I had already read a lot about SEO (from the same Shakin), but I am constantly learning something new from you. Refusal is when a visitor has viewed only one page of your site, and left him, that is, he considered that he was no longer interested in anything here. It’s about this, that it’s important, I didn’t know. Well, I knew that it was necessary to keep the visitor as long as possible, but the fact that if the user visited the same page and was not anywhere else - this is considered bad by search engines. I will wait for an article on the topic of refusals - only in what future will it be released? In the distant or near (future). And you write in an interesting way, it is very easy to read and understandable. I also wanted to ask - why don't you give a description of the videos? It seems to me that it would be nice to describe it in a few words.

Hello everyone! Today I plan to talk about a relatively new direction in self-promotion sites - optimization of behavioral factors... One of the first companies in the Russian Internet to offer a competent (read safe) approach to automating this area is userator.ru. A couple of years ago, website promotion in Yandex was quite easy to manipulate. All you needed were links, and links anywhere on the site: footers, sidebars, footers, etc. All you needed was the amount. Links were easy to get through link exchanges and a host of other similar services.

A little about links and their quality

In 2009 Yandex began tweaking its algorithm to get rid of spam and provide its users with reliable information, and other search engines have done the same. The algorithm has become very complex and, they claim, smart. The technology behind it is called MatrixNet, which is essentially machine learning technology. Yandex finds out what people specifically want and takes this into account in the search results.

As with Google, no one knows all the factors that Yandex takes into account. Just like Google, Yandex began to actively fight against spam and low-quality links, and in some places even canceled link ranking.

It is clear that it is not possible to take and cancel them completely, and the bulk of SEO-optimizers and webmasters continue to actively use them in website promotion. But this can no longer be done thoughtlessly, who is not yet in the know, PS can easily identify low-quality links, so try not to use links of this kind:

  • The same links at the bottom of pages on different sites.
  • Backlinks with search engine-optimized text posted in articles or press releases that are published on third-party sites;
  • External links from low quality directories and bookmarking services;
  • Links embedded in widgets that are intended to be posted on various sites;
  • Comments on forums with links in the text of the message or signature.

Thus, it turns out that the share of the link mass in search engine promotion has decreased and, as a result, something should have taken its place - this is the behavioral factor. In scientific terms, these are:

  1. The click-through rate (CTR) from the SERP (this is the search results page generated by any search engine).
  2. Average time spent on a page after clicking from a SERP.
  3. Bounce rate from page back to SERP.

Now about all this in more detail.

What are behavioral factors (PFs) in search engine rankings?

This is a set of data that are taken into account by search engines when assessing the quality of a site for further ranking in the TOP. The main data is the user's actions in the search and on the site.

In which search engines are PFs counted?

In Yandex, these factors are among the most important for adjusting search results. This is officially confirmed. Yandex has the most severe sanctions for cheating these factors, which indicates their importance in ranking.

Google takes these factors into account. This was officially confirmed on March 12, 2019. On this day, Google patented "Changing the ranking of search results based on an implicit feedback with the user ”, in other words - behavioral factors. Although Google representatives have previously rejected claims that these factors were taken into account.

Where Search Engines Collect User Behavior Data:

PF are:

  1. Internal - user behavior directly on the site;
  2. External - user behavior on search results, outside the site.

Internal:

  • Average time a user spends on the site or on separate page... The higher this indicator, the better.
  • Number of rejections. A refusal in Yandex is considered a user's stay on the site for less than 15 seconds. If there are a lot of refusals, it means that your site is not liked by users or the page does not correspond to the request.
  • Depth of view. An indicator of the number of pages viewed after going to your site. When a user moves a lot within the site using internal links, this tells the search engine that the site is useful.
  • Share of traffic from organic search. The higher the percentage of organic traffic (from SEO), the better.
  • Having a permanent audience. The search engine is good for a site with regular visitors who visit the site directly from bookmarks or by typing a link to the site into a string (this is called "Direct hits").
  • The presence of branded traffic. These are referrals to your site for requests that contain a direct mention of your company. This tells the search engine about the popularity of your company and the demand among users.
  • Availability in demand. Using certain algorithms (Browse Rank), the search engine evaluates your internal linking. The links that you place in the text or in the linking blocks should be useful, important and noticeable.

From this you can see with the naked eye that the process of optimizing behavioral factors is not as fast as buying links. Experts say that this is a complex and complex process and results from it should not be expected earlier than 2-4 months, depending on the site.

Before contacting the company, I strongly recommend that you check your site again for the correctness of its internal optimization.

  • Page relevance search query: keywords in the title and meta description of tags; keywords in meta keywords tags (doesn't really help much in my opinion, but some people claim it works), keywords in ALT tags for images.
  • Content: the content must be unique and good quality... It is very important to maintain good grammar, as Yandex is very good at understanding Russian. As with Google, it is important that the site is updated with new content on a regular basis.
  • Internal links (linking): Yandex loves content. Don't rely on navigation menus and breadcrumbs alone. Place internal links content and don't forget about anchor links.
  • Site quality: make sure that there are no broken links, that all pages are working and the 404 error is configured correctly. ... This will not only help Yandex identify your site as a quality resource, but also provide a good behavioral factor.

After you are convinced of the quality of your site, you can move on to optimizing behavioral factors. Behavioral factors have a positive impact on your site's search engine rankings. That is, the higher they are (bounce rate, time on the site, depth of page viewing), the better for search engines, and accordingly for you, because such a site has a much higher chance of getting into the TOP.

This spring, the specialists of the userator.ru company announced new service on optimization of behavioral factors (OPF), the algorithm of which does not contradict the rules of search engines. There is no banal cheating and machine emulation of human actions. There are no direct visits of people on assignments. All this is calculated by the search engines once or twice. Improving behavioral factors is achieved by attracting targeted, thematic traffic. Next, I will try to describe how it all works.

OPF technology in the service userator.ru

All technology is based on working with low frequency requests. Due to this, the maximum correspondence to the topic of the site is achieved with the relative cheapness of links. When you first connect to the OPF from userator.ru, the system crawls the site for its traffic, using the results of web analytics from Google Analytics or Yandex.Metrica. At the same time, such parameters are determined as:

  • thematic, low frequency requests are determined;
  • the proximity of queries to the TOP of the issue is determined;
  • the average rate of queries per month for these keywords is determined.

Based on this, a list of several hundred low-frequency keywords is compiled and links are bought on sites similar to your topic. Due to the large number of requests, the variety of anchors to your resource increases, which has a very positive effect on promotion. The system not only buys links, but monitors the clicks on them. If some requests do not move and there are no clicks on them, then such requests are deleted, new requests are collected and added as links. This happens every two weeks. This is a kind of highlight of the OPF service.

The first results of optimization of behavioral factors

As for the first results. According to userator.ru, shifts (an increase in the number of clicks) are observed in a month. It is clear that 30 days is a very short period of time, but very good for the preparatory stage. The observation was carried out on several hundred projects of various topics, from medicine to car repairs. For most of the projects that connected OPF, over the past month, visits from search engines grew by an average of 20%. Also, the average page view time increased by 15%, but the bounce rates remained the same.

Second results of optimization of behavioral factors

After two months of working with OPF, the effect was observed in all projects. Basically, this is the growth of low-frequency queries and their getting into the TOP. Due to this, the traffic on the non-mainstream semantic core... Here are some statistics:

  • 80% of projects experienced an increase in traffic;
  • 68% of projects have improved the "Depth of views" indicator;
  • 60% of projects “Time on Site” approached optimal;
  • The most difficult thing is to work with the bounce rate - only 52% of projects have it decreased;
  • 58% of projects saw an increase in repeat visits.

I will not load you further with numbers, all this can be viewed on the site userator.ru, but it is better to make sure of everything on your own project and only then draw conclusions, scold, or praise the OPF service.

My opinion on this

Many may say that this is the same link purchase, only under a different name, but this is not the case. When buying links, HF requests are usually promoted, and there are practically no clicks on such links. But with LF requests, it's a different matter, it is your contingent who is looking not for a product or service in general, but for a specific thing. Due to this, the likelihood of his clicking on the link to your site and spending some time there increases significantly. Plus, in userator.ru everything is automated, and you don't have to resort to manual labor. Low-frequency traffic costs a penny, due to this you can purchase large quantity a variety of anchor links.

Hi. Remember, just recently I told you about? So, with the last update, positions in Yandex sagged, I hope, temporarily, at the end of April there will be a full report on that experiment. Also, unfortunately, I just recently managed to catch a filter on another site for cheating behavioral factors (there, however, was not manual execution of tasks, but automatic, but in very small quantities). What am I doing? Yandex is tightening the screws, artificial promotion in this way is getting harder and harder.

As always, at such turning points, those who are the fastest reacting to changes in the market, to its features and needs, start to row the “loot”. Why is my brain also not working so fast and my pockets don't have a couple of million? Imagine, now you can take advantage of the "wrapping of natural behavioral factors." We all understand that this contradicts itself, so the word "cheat" can be safely thrown out.

A certain "miracle service" has appeared on the market, which allows promote the site by optimizing behavioral factors ( OPF) ... Let's first take a look at how the usual cheating of behavioral factors (PF) occurs:

  1. The site is added to the PF markup service.
  2. The method of wrapping is selected: automatic or manual.
  3. The automatic method of cheating leads robots from search engines (SE), they perform some kind of automated processes. This very often leads to sanctions from the PS, as robots are fiercely “firing” with their IP addresses, the same screen resolutions, browsers and similar similar characteristics and actions. In general, Yandex is striking in this situation (I made this conclusion after receiving the filter for cheating PF): it turns out that you can buy such automatic transitions for a couple of thousand rubles and throw out a competitor who is nearby somewhere far away. Yandex answered a similar question to me like this:

    When developing these algorithms, we, of course, took into account the possibility of competitors to influence the positions of a particular site and minimized it. If to advance to search engines of the specified site you really do not use and did not use any deceptive techniques and the site is developing in the interests of the user, then over time his position will be restored.

  4. Manual way of working. Here it is already much harder to “burn”, since the actions are performed by living people. They receive tasks, for example, to go to the site, which is located in the 20th position, sit there for 3-4 minutes, make transitions 2-3 internal pages... It seems to me that here, too, you can easily burn everything: drive in dubious IP-addresses that are actively sitting in the database, go to sites with the topic "Auto", then on the topic "Construction", and then completely about "Nanotechnology" and finish everything with the site " Food for children ”. Anyway, we most often visit the same sites, and hardly for a month regular user can sit and “torture” search engines on different topics every day. Straight geek of some kind. Einstein! I think Yandex will soon learn how to define manual cheating against the background of this period - a boom in behavioral factors.

And what do the creators of the “promotion of OPF” offer us? Impossible, as I thought at first. It turned out to be just a well thought out strategy. The essence of promotion using optimization of behavioral factors is as follows:

  1. People who like it come to your site. Doesn't it sound funny? How can a person, without having visited your site, say that he likes it? It turns out that this can be determined. A bunch of low-frequency queries(LF), and they come to you.
  2. In any case, people who are interested in these LF queries will find what they are interested in (of course, if you have the necessary information). With the help of statistics services, the service analyzes those who came for these low-frequency requests, looks at which requests gave the maximum effect (you yourself know that it is very easy to look at the statistics of viewing any "object", the time of its stay, etc. interesting details).
  3. Based on these data obtained by the "internal" algorithm, the service determines which indicators are optimal for your site. All of you probably understand: too long time spent on the site, a huge number of views - there are not always good indicators of behavioral factors.
    Immediately I remember such a rough comparison, which I remember from the time of the beginning of my “blogging”. The person who asks the query "length of the elephant's member" will not be on your site for 7 minutes, go through 8 internal pages and read your text of 3000 characters. One sentence is enough for him, where a specific answer to his request is given. He receives it, leaves and does not return to search for given request... That is, here, I would say, on the contrary, the minimum amount of time, the quick satisfaction of the answer to the user's question play a big role. In general, I think that we will gradually leave the "water" on the Internet. There is a ton of unnecessary information around, reading which we kill hours. In our age, this is an unaffordable luxury. I am sure that search engines will be more active in their struggle with “water”.
  4. The service analyzes the usefulness of the selected low-frequency queries and corrects their list on a monthly basis. Thus, only the most beneficial for your site remain. Thus, your site naturally moves up.

I foresee a bunch of questions, so I will try to describe some considerations and data:

  • Banned for this? You will not receive a filter for such traffic formation, since there is no artificiality here. Basically, your site is being rated by real people who are not paid to "click" and click on your site. Here comes natural growth.
  • Where does this traffic come from? They say they buy from suppliers. Where exactly from, the hell knows, we understood that James Bond works. The same one.
  • Why transitions are based on LF requests? Cheap traffic. 🙂 Here is the main answer. There is no competition, no expensive price. And the PF indices for LF queries are quite stable.
  • When to expect results? Everything starts after the first month, as usual. The most serious effect is achieved at 5-6 months. Long, damn it. But this is better than moving forward in 2 months, catching the filter and losing everything. Calls, customers, sales ... Should I talk about it. I want to cry when a client writes: calls have dropped, sales have decreased.

Is this promotion method suitable for my site? Against the backdrop of Yandex's “link abandonment”, behavioral factors have begun to play a more important role in the eyes of SEO specialists. They are very well suited to everyone, especially the "young", that is, sites that have just been created. But pay attention to the site requirements:

  • The index of Yandex and Google must have at least 50 site pages.
  • A Yandex.Metrica counter must be installed on the site in order for Yandex to notice the brought visitors.
  • You must provide access to Google Analytics or Yandex.Metrica so that Rookee can analyze the behavior of site users.

What kind of miracle service is this? Yes, all the same. Yes, against the background of "cancellation of links" this service is also not standing still, it is developing (you need to do something to keep the money going). It is money that once again makes you think, and different competition forces you to come up with something new that would really work and keep users of the service. If there is a result, why not? Everyone is willing to pay.

Here is such an innovation from a service that used to just sell temporary links, but now it also deals with audits, links (temporary and even eternal), SEO-optimized texts and already behavioral factors. Unlike many other services, it is not just a cheat, but a natural promotion. Well, commendable. Bravo. Well done.

I AM . Of course, I will write about the results. I would like you to rate and share the results too. Maybe you can tell me how to collect 10k + traffic on your blog.

I am waiting for questions and comments.
