Bluetooth flash drive for radio. Bluetooth in the car: which adapter is better to choose. Advantages of bluetooth in the car

A Bluetooth adapter for a car is a means of communication between gadgets. It is very convenient to use it while driving. Bluetooth technology allows the driver to communicate on a mobile phone without holding it in hands during a call. From a security standpoint, the adapter is a useful device.

What is it

The Bluetooth car adapter has many functions. Thanks to technology wireless communication it is possible to output content from other electronic devices to the audio system. The car is a great place for sharing Bluetooth, transferring files, since the range is limited by the passenger compartment and there is no interference. There are several types of bluetooth adapters that are designed to free the driver's hands from the phone.

  1. Personal headset. Such an adapter is also called a "clip". It attaches to the ear. The headset is not technically tied to the car, so it is used everywhere. There are pros and cons to this device. The advantages include a good microphone, and the disadvantages are the inability to see information about the caller.
  2. Speakerphone. Made in the form of a monoblock. It has a microphone, control buttons and a speaker. The gadget is placed in a cigarette lighter socket or on a sun visor. The disadvantages of the speakerphone include the lack of confidentiality of the conversation: if there are passengers in the cabin, everyone hears the conversation.
  3. Module built into the radio. An adapter paired with the car audio system. The module has a display so the driver can see who is calling the phone. The Bluetooth adapter for the car is equipped with RSAP technology. In terms of functionality, it is one of the best.

These wireless devices are used not only for communicating on the phone, but also for reproducing speech text, music using the car audio system.

What is it needed for

What is the purpose of the Bluetooth AUX adapter for the car? The main function of this device is to mediate between digital audio content carriers and an audio system. Wireless adapter required for pairing with a mobile phone. This allows the driver to control the vehicle during calls and conversations. The device fulfills its main function - safety. In addition, using the adapter, you can listen to music, transfer and receive files, exchange media with passengers without the need for distraction.

How does it work

What is the principle of the Bluetooth adapter for a car? The USB device is wireless and interfaces with all electronic components that support bluetooth function... After turning on the adapter, information is exchanged with the audio system using the adapter. The connection signal is sent via bluetooth to a compatible device. The adapter is configured via a smartphone.

Bluetooth adapters are used not only for communicating on the phone while driving, but also for playing music through the car audio system. This applies to cases when a radio tape recorder without a module and a USB connector is placed on the front panel of the car, but there is an AUX input. The device is easily installed in the car, connects to the audio output, and is powered by the cigarette lighter.

Peculiarities

Bluetooth adapter for car radio - compact multifunction device... Its main advantages include compactness, stable signal, versatility (it works with car radios with audio output). Sound works without interruptions, high quality of information transmission. The objective disadvantages of adapters include the relatively high cost of some models. In addition, the device almost always occupies the audio output jack of the radio. Despite the disadvantages, adapters are modern and very useful devices for organizing wireless communication in a car.

For example, Bluetooth AUX is considered one of the most stable connections. In fact, this is an adapter that uses the analog input of the radio and is powered via a USB port. The diagnostic bluetooth adapter for the car is used for professional purposes to check the operation of the car. This is a kind of scanner that can work on the go and connects to any device with a USB connector. Diagnosis is carried out using a tablet, smartphone or computer. They work according to the combined transmission protocol, adapters are suitable for almost all domestic and European cars.

Criterias of choice

Which bluetooth adapter to choose? Most of these gadgets are universal and compatible with almost all car models. If you want to choose the right device, check out some tips:

  • first of all, the system of the device must ideally match the mobile phone;
  • make sure the screen displays Cyrillic;
  • for a correctly selected adapter, the system displays not only the number, but also other data of the subscriber (name, surname);
  • it is desirable that the gadget has a voice dialing function;
  • the ability to update software.

The compatibility of the bluetooth adapter for the car radio with the car and the phone must be absolute. Otherwise, the smartphone may become unusable. At the time of purchase, make sure the box indicates compatibility with mobile devices... If it says "single platform model", this does not exclude a conflict with the phone. The adapter must support Russian and Cyrillic, otherwise it will be problematic to set up the display. The system of a correctly selected wireless unit displays the number and other information about the caller without any problems. In addition, it must have an update function. When configuring the adapter, do not disable the authentication function. If you choose it right modern device and set it up correctly, its owner will only benefit.

Prices

How much does the Bluetooth AUX adapter for car cost? These are inexpensive gadgets, so every driver can afford them. The price depends on the model, brand and purpose. Adapters cost an average of 500 rubles, but there are devices that are cheaper and more expensive. For example, diagnostic ones do not belong to the budget. Their cost can exceed two thousand rubles.

Ever wondered how you can connect your phone to a car via bluetooth via a radio tape recorder? After all, it is much more convenient to listen to your favorite tracks on the road through a good audio system in the car than through a quiet and low-quality speaker built into a smartphone. And we always carry the phone with us, which means it can be connected to a standard car radio via Bluetooth and play music through large speakers. It's actually very simple, even if the car doesn't have built-in wireless connectivity. A special Bluetooth AUX audio adapter will help us - small device, which connects to the AUX audio input available on any, even the cheapest car radio. After that, the audio system is able to connect to a phone or any other device with Bluetooth wireless connectivity. Works with both Android smartphones and iPhone.

Ways to connect the phone to the car via bluetooth

This article is intended for those who do not have an infotainment system in their car that supports the Bluetooth wireless standard by default. As a rule, in such a fancy head unit, a lot of functions are already sewn in for managing calls, listening voice messages, sending SMS, working with a media library and even playing video or navigating on the screen of the radio in the car. At the same time, the controls are usually located on the steering wheel in the form of buttons, which makes the control of telephone functions even more convenient and safe when driving.

But even if you have put in your car the simplest radio tape recorder with one single AUX headphone jack, you can use most of the above possibilities by connecting your phone via a bluetooth adapter. There are several ways to use it with your car radio for the following purposes:

  • Play media files from your phone through your car audio system
  • Receive calls to the phone through the radio tape recorder
  • Receive audio to any other device that has a 3.5 jack (Mini Jack)

To be honest, the adapter is not very suitable for the second one. Firstly, the built-in microphone has low sensitivity and is located far from the driver's face, which is why the sound transmission to the subscriber will be of very poor quality. Secondly, the sound from the speakers will be transmitted back to the microphone and create an echo effect, which also does not favor adequate communication.

Package contents and appearance of the Bluetooth audio adapter

So, I ordered an audio adapter for a car with Chinese store Aliexpress. The Spartan kit also included a short micro USB cable for recharging, an adapter for the AUX input and an instruction in English.

The audio receiver itself has the following connectors and controls:

  • On / off button
  • Connector micro usb for charging cable
  • 3.5 audio input
  • Microphone
  • Light-emitting diode

How to connect a phone to a car radio via a Bluetooth audio adapter via AUX in a car

To connect the phone to the radio, turn on Bluetooth on it and activate the "Visibility" of the phone for other devices.

The adapter itself is inserted into the AUX audio jack through the adapter and we press the large power button on the device body - the red and blue indicators should blink.

After that, our adapter called DL-Link will appear in the list of devices available for connection on the phone.

We connect to it. Next, select "MP3-Link" as the sound source ("Source") on the radio. This is the AUX connector. Then you can play music or video - audio sound will be transmitted through the car speakers from the phone connected to the car via bluetooth.

Pribluda allows you to wirelessly transmit music or navigation commands to the GU from an android smartphone, and possibly even from an iPhone. As a test subject - a standard Ford radio tape recorder CD6000 without MP3 and with nowhere removed AUX-ohm (just pins on the rear connector).
To begin with, I surveyed the Internet stores, chose and purchased such a bluetooth receiver (bluetooth audio reciever), somewhere for $ 15-18.

Upon arrival, he tested it, and then opened the case with a screwdriver. Inside was this:

The pinout of the bluetooth module looks like this:
1. + 5V
2.empty
3. Land
4. Right channel
5. Left channel

There was no voltage + 5V in the radio tape recorder, therefore I rummaged in the stash and found such a PWM converter.

Basically, you can use a board from any decent cigarette lighter charger.
There was no suitable connector in the stash, so the modules were simply soldered to the pins and insulated with heat shrinkage.

The Bluetooth module stuck with 2-sided tape on the plastic muzzle of the radio (with back side essno). It is more convenient to put the radio inside, but inside everything is completely shielded with iron - it is unlikely that there will be a good connection. The location of the module is marked in red. The module itself is inside under the green board.

We glue the DC-DC converter with 2-sided tape, on the side wall, away from the electronics, so as not to phonate.

Putting the converter on constant + 12V is a bad idea. + 12V ACC was never found in an accessible place on the board, so I pulled the converter power wire through the hole in the rear wall of the radio and twisted it onto the ACC wire (yellow-green) extending from the radio connector.

In fact, this is FSE. We turn on the ignition, + 12V appears on the ACC, the receiver is powered, the smart connects to it itself. Press the button play in your favorite player and listen to music wirelessly.

Many owners of old generations of radio tape recorders, and to be honest with many new ones (for example, in VOLKSWAGEN), do not have the ability to connect a USB flash drive to a standard head unit. That is, it is there, but there are USB or SD, often there are no AUX outputs in them! For example, "FOLZ" can put you another radio tape recorder, but for the money, and you will have to pay decently! Guys, I urge all manufacturers to wake up, the 21st century is in the yard, and you take money for functions that will soon be standard on bicycles! Well, you can't do that. Okay, this is a cry from the heart, but there is always a right for such "smart-ass" manufacturers - it is called a USB adapter for a radio tape recorder, and I invite you to talk about this today ...

Now, probably many will think - yes, they have already passed these Bluetooth adapters, all this is bullshit because the sound transmitted through such an adapter is simply horrible.

The guys are calm - it's not about Bluetooth, although it's still possible to use it as a "crutch" for the radio. For those who do not know what the nightmare is, a small educational program.

What is bad

I will list quickly for general understanding:

  • It takes a cigarette lighter, in order to connect other gadgets (radar detector, video recorder), you need to buy a splitter, and this is already a "jumble".

  • It does not look very aesthetically pleasing, it is easy to touch it with your hand.
  • The main disadvantage is the transmitted sound. You know, it is transmitted essentially over a radio channel and the quality suffers from this, even if you record on mp3 with a high bitrate (quality), then not such a high quality will be played through the speakers - it feels like it is compressed with the worst quality.

In general, the bluetooth adapter is a crutch, of course it won't let you "fall asleep", but it won't let you enjoy high-quality sound either. Therefore, this is not our method, we need to look for others.

Other head unit

I would also like to write a couple of lines about this. Of course, you can "score" and put something else head device with color display, USB and SD, navigation, and much more. Moreover, it can be connected to the standard buttons on the steering wheel and control it.

But here's one bad luck - the cost can just go off scale. Personally, I myself also thought to change my radio tape recorder and put it with a color display - but damn it, the price tag floats from 25 to 45,000 rubles! It’s quite a lot, I still want a budget solution. Digging further.

If your hands are in the right place

You know, there are people who are on "YOU" with technology. They are disassembled in radio tape recorders - computers can easily be re-soldered, etc. Personally, I had such an experience - when in head unit of the old Toyota Corolla, a USB adapter was soldered into the board, and made by hand - then they simply brought it into the glove compartment and used a USB flash drive.

But there are many BUTs here:

  • It's problematic to do it yourself
  • You need to be well versed in the electrics of the car
  • You can burn the board, and, accordingly, the radio tape recorder, and the cost even of the old factory one will be prohibitive

Again, some "problems" - not our method, so there is no way out? Calmly he is.

USB adapter

I have no task to advertise any product, and now they are just in bulk. The thing is that everything has already been invented before us. You can install a special adapter into the standard head unit, or rather, into its cable, you can install a special adapter that will give you the opportunity to use various outputs, all popular (USB, SD, AUX).

How it works

  • The most important thing is that you do not need to climb inside the radio, or occupy a cigarette lighter. You just take off your stock device and pull out the ribbon cable.
  • Then you need to insert a special adapter, between the connector from the radio tape recorder, and the connector of the wires, this adapter has an outlet for USB connection adapter.

  • You hide the adapter itself anywhere in the cabin, panel glove compartment, etc. But it seems to me that the glove compartment is 100% suitable for this.
  • After that, we install the radio tape recorder in place.
  • Now you have outputs for a USB stick and other devices.

Moreover, the management of tracks from a flash drive, possibly with regular buttons on the steering wheel.

Subtleties in the settings

You need to understand that this is a kind of emulation for the radio, it "thinks" that it is reading a CD, but in fact it is USB. So the USB stick must be properly prepared.

For this, six folders with numbers are created on it, which should bear the names "CD". That is, "CD1", "CD2", "CD3", etc. In the seventh folder "CD7" - you can already throw music, only then it will start playing. If these folders do not exist, then playing tracks is not possible!

pros

Needless to say, there are just a lot of them.

  • Easy installation, even a girl can handle it.
  • Often, old radio tape recorders can no longer play discs, this happens - because the laser burns out (becomes weak), so long searches for tracks begin to stutter, etc., this will not happen with a flash drive by default.
  • Easy to record and play, discs are almost a one-off thing that still needs to be burned on a computer. I put it on USB in a few minutes, inserted it into the port and enjoy.
  • The purity of sound, incomparable with Bluetooth, what quality was thrown away, and this will be played - just a huge plus.
  • Does not take up space in the cigarette lighter.
  • You don't have to change the head unit.

The term Bluetooth literally means "blue tooth". Experts from Ericsson assigned this name to a new data transfer protocol in honor of the Scandinavian king Harald the First Gormsson, who, having a blue-toothed smile because of his love for blueberries, was able to unite the peoples of Denmark with the population from the Swedish province of Scania in the 10th century.

General information about the Bluetooth standard

So, the conclusion of this small historical epic is as follows: bluetooth for a car radio is designed to unite, but not peoples, but different electronic devices through wireless connection low power. Of course, these devices must support the "blue tooth" technology, and, if necessary, also be equipped with appropriate programs and drivers.

The Viking king could not even dream of such popularity, which won his nickname)))
At present, the Bluetooth data transmission standard, due to its simplicity, has firmly taken its niche in the market. Well, how could it be otherwise? Just a few simple steps to configure the hardware and a universal bridge between devices is ready, while it also saves the user from a whole heap of wires that are no longer needed.
Well, in addition to this, this radio link can combine several peripheral devices, allowing the creation of small private groups beyond common fixed network infrastructures.

Bluetooth in car

Although the data transfer protocol began to be used in radio electronics recently, it has already gained such great popularity that now no one is surprised by the one installed with bluetooth.
Why is the "blue tooth" useful for a motorist:

  • The use of wireless data transmission technology allowed engineers to significantly improve road safety by implementing the “Hands Free” function in bluetooth car radios, which literally means “hands free”. To use this function, the driver uses the radio microphone and the general speaker system car;
  • More advanced bluetooth car radio allows you to create your own phone book by synchronizing your work with your phone or downloading it directly to your storage device. Although the price of such a radio tape recorder will be slightly higher, the convenience of dialing the called subscriber's number from the display of the car radio is much more convenient and faster (see photo).

In addition, with incoming calls, the bluetooth car radio automatically mutes or completely turns off the music being played and displays information about the caller on the screen. Such devices can receive calls even when turned off.
Current trends in the development and mutual integration of components of video and audio systems of head units "blue tooth" gains more and more opportunities:

  • Some with bluetooth can receive and simultaneously process from external sources (phone, DVD-player, player, etc.) a stream of information different format(music, photo, video);
  • The hit of the season at the moment is a bluetooth car diagnostic scanner, which, being placed in the appropriate connector, reads the relevant information and transmits it to the screen of a device synchronized with it (car radio, phone, laptop) in real time.

As you can see, the technology of the "blue tooth" has greatly facilitated the life of an ordinary motorist, but what about those who have the entire musical car set consisting of a radio receiver combined with a cassette deck? It is not surprising, but there is a way out ...

Homemade "cassette" Bluetooth

This instruction will once again prove to you that even an antediluvian device can be integrated modern technologies with only a burning desire and perseverance available. So, in order to get an elegant, hand-made device that allows you to get a wireless bluetooth speaker from the old one, we need wireless sports headphones ...

... and cassette adapter.

We disassemble a Bluetooth headset

This headset can be disassembled without regret, since the sound quality of Chinese headphones is such that the maximum they are suitable for is listening to audiobooks.
The bluetooth headset includes:

  • Speakers;
  • Lithium ion accumulator battery;
  • The board itself with significant elements soldered on it.

Of all this "wealth" we only need a battery and motherboard, which is responsible for amplifying the sound, for receiving a Bluetooth signal and controlling the charge of the battery.

Redesigning the cassette adapter

As you might have guessed, in the next step we will remake the "giblets" of the cassette adapter, which consist of a magnetic head with audio wiring soldered to it and ending in a 3.5 jack connector.

  • Keeping the reference point on the pinout of the jack connector, we solder the wires of the left and right speakers, as well as their common wire, to the magnetic head;

By the way, the battery together with motherboard fit freely in the cassette adapter housing.

  • Then it remains only to make a technical hole in the adapter case for recharging lithium ion battery, unsolder the old cable with a 3.5 jack connector at the end and fix, using a second glue, the board with the battery inside the cassette adapter.

If all of the above is done correctly and accurately, then the device is determined by any mobile phones and computers like a wireless speaker.

Examination

We close the lid and proceed to testing the freshly baked device:

  • We insert our Bluetooth - column into the cassette socket of the car radio;
  • Press the play key;
  • We are looking for our headset on the phone / tablet / laptop;
  • We start playback of the selected track through it;
  • We dance, we laugh)))

At this point, I consider the article devoted to car radios with bluetooth complete, but I leave the topic open, since I do not exclude that during the time of writing this article, the capabilities of Bluetooth have significantly expanded.
