Note: Hold the button PTT all the time of transmission (the red indicator will "light up"). For

Emergency Alarm Function. Press to activate the alarm.

VOX off delay (VOX Delay Time). If the transceiver switches to receive immediately after
the end of the transmission, it is possible that the end of the transmitted information will not be fully received.
To solve this problem, it is possible to set the switching delay time. Possible value
– 3 sec) can be set by programming.
Sound confirmation VOX (VOX Beep). When this function is on, before starting the transmission by
programming.
CTCSS / DCS encoding / decoding. When this function is on, you can hear and receive
calls, only if the codes match CTCSS / DCS... Calls to stations, even on the same channel, from
other values of codes or without encoding at all, you will not accept.
Exists 50 tone code values CTCSS (67.0 - 254.1 Hz). In this case, it is possible independently
define these encodings in the interval 50 - 260 Hz with step 0.1 Hz.
Exists 232 digital codes DCS (017N - 765L).
Optional DTMF signal. It is possible to define the DTMF signal for each channel by
programming.
This function is similar to encoding CTCSS / DCS and implements such functions as: Selective call,
Group call, PTT ID, remote shutdown and inclusion.
1. PTT ID
: If a channel has been defined PTT ID, this information will be transmitted when working on
channel when pressed and released PTT... Stations with a similar function and display will be
display this PTT ID(identifier caller) when receiving a call.
Through programming you can create groups and organize group calls by pattern
symbols A, B, C, D, “*”, “#”).

On off. Reset Function On / Off. By programming, you can enable / disable
function use Reset, which allows you to restore the factory settings of the device.
Restore factory settings (Resume Factory Default). Restore factory settings has

1 KENWOOD TK-F6 TURBO (always a large selection of KENWOOD walkie-talkies) User manual. USING THE BATTERY. Battery charge. The battery is not charged when shipped. Charge it before use. A new battery (or after long-term storage) at the first charge may not show the nominal capacity. To reach the rated capacity, repeat the charge-discharge cycle 2-3 times. If the runtime of even a fully charged battery is short, it's time to replace it. Charger. Use to charge the battery only Charger included with this radio. If, after installing the battery, the station "shows" low charge("Blinking" of the red indicator and voice notification), charge the battery. Notes: 1. Do not short-circuit the battery terminals or place it close to a fire source. Never try to disassemble the battery. We do not accept any responsibility for any results caused by changes to the battery without our permission. 2. Charge the battery at an ambient temperature of 5 to 40 C. Outside this temperature range, the battery may not be fully charged. 3. Charge the battery only when the radio is off, otherwise it may not charge properly. 4. Also, in order to avoid problems with the correctness of the charge, do not turn off the power and do not take out the battery during charging. 5. Do not attempt to recharge a fully charged battery, as this may shorten its life or damage it. 6. Do not attempt to charge the battery if it or the radio itself is wet. Dry the devices first. To avoid shorting the battery and damaging it, do not put it together with metal objects such as keys, chains, etc. How to charge. 1. Plug the power adapter into a power outlet, and connect to the charging glass. The indicator will first turn orange (about 1 second), then turn green (charge standby state). 2. Put the battery or walkie-talkie with the battery into the charging glass. Make sure that there is a reliable contact of the device terminals in the charging cup. Charging tips. 1. Testing at startup. When the power is connected to the charging glass, the orange indicator will "blink" for about 1s and turn off. The device will enter the "ready to charge" state. This means that the charging cup has passed all the built-in tests and can charge the battery normally. If the indicator remains orange or “blinking” red, the self-test failed. 2. Pre-charge. If the red LED “blinks” when the battery is installed in the charging cup, it means that the residual voltage on the battery is too low and the device “precharges” the battery with a low current (“precharge” status). The charger will automatically enter a normal charge state when the battery reaches a certain voltage. Note: The precharge cannot last more than 30 minutes. If the red light continues to blink after 30 minutes, the charger is not charging the battery. Check the health of both the battery and the charger. How to store batteries. 1. If you do not plan to use the battery for a long time, leave about half the charge. 2. Store batteries in low temperature and low humidity (dry place). 3. Avoid heat and direct sunlight.
3 GETTING STARTED. Installing the battery. 1. Align the two grooves of the battery with the guides on the back of the radio and slide it in. 2. Press the bottom of the battery until it clicks into place. Removing the battery. 1. Press the release latch to remove the battery. Installation / removal of the antenna. To install the antenna, screw it (clockwise) to the connector on the top of the radio. Attaching / removing the belt clip. Place the latch on the corresponding notches on the back of the device and screw.
4 APPEARANCE and BASIC CONTROLS. 1. Antenna. 2. Volume control / switch. Turn clockwise to turn on the station. After switching on, continue turning clockwise until you reach the optimum volume. 3. If the capacity drops to level 1 (approximately 6.0V), the red indicator will "flash" and the station will automatically switch to TX Off mode (transmission inhibit).

To deactivate the "emergency signaling" function, switch the station off and on again. Note: This feature is disabled by default. If required, activate the function by programming. "Advanced" functions. Switching the VOX function on / off ( voice control). When the VOX function is on, the radio will switch to voice transmission without using the PTT button. To turn on the VOX function, in standby mode, press and hold the PF1 button for more than 3 seconds. When the VOX is turned on, you will receive a sound confirmation (beep). To turn off VOX, repeat the same (until a beep), or turn off the station and turn on again. Note: By programming, "activate" the VOX function, otherwise the above will not work. VOX Level Setup This function is used to set the volume level of the VOX response. Possible VOX level values (1-9) are set by programming. A higher level corresponds to a higher volume. Note: First "activate" the VOX function (see previous note). VOX off delay (VOX Delay Time). This function sets the value of the received signal strength that can be heard and at which calls will pass. Possible values (0-9) are set by programming. The value 0 corresponds to the actually turned off noise reduction. Locking the walkie-talkie (Keypad Lockout). Enable this feature to prevent any unintended actions. Press and hold the Emergency Button while turning on the walkie-talkie and release after the beep beep. That's it, the lock is on. Repeat the above steps to release the interlock (two beep at the end). Note: By programming it is possible to assign this function to the PF1 or PF2 button. Disable the squelch. The muffler can be turned off in standby mode by a programmable button (PF1 or PF2, see "Programmable button functions"). You can now hear background noises. Repeat the same steps to turn on the squelch. This function is useful when you need to receive extremely weak signals. Monitor. To activate the monitor mode, use the Programmable Buttons (PF1 or PF2, see Programmable Button Functions). Confirmation one beep. In this mode, the radio will ignore the CTCSS / DCS codes and listen to the signals of other stations while there is a subcarrier on the channel. To turn off the “monitor” function, use the same button (confirmation of shutdown two beeps). Current Channel Power Inquiry. When enabled (confirmation beep), the transmit and receive frequencies of the current channel (including the preset CTCSS / DCS codes) are reversed. Switching off the frequency reversal with the same button (confirmation by two beeps). Talk Around function. When this function is active, transmission is carried out on the receive frequency. The function is switched on / off by the corresponding programmable button. Note: When Talk Around is on, the radio cannot communicate with other stations through the repeater. Calling signal CALL1, CALL2. This function makes it possible in standby mode to transmit a preset (also by programming) DTMF signal using one of the programmed buttons (for CALL1 and CALL2). Temporary removal of a noisy channel. This function allows you to temporarily remove a noisy channel (or seize a channel) in the scan list. When the scan reaches the channel, call the “temporary delete” function (see “soft key functions”), confirmation beep, that's it, now the channel from the scan list is removed from the scan list until the next station is turned on. This function is useful when scanning constantly stops on a channel with no signal, but with high level interference. The priority channel cannot be removed from the scan list in this way. When there are 1 or 2 channels left in the scan list, the function is not available. To "return" all deleted channels back, turn off the station and turn it on again. Microphone squelch (optional).
