Missed calls (Call Remind). This function is used to remind you of not accepted

When calling (using a programmable button) a function CALL, the walkie-talkie transmits a call signal. When

other stations will receive this signal, they will "issue" the corresponding, in advance

programmed, signal.

There are 5 missed call signals: vibro, bell (chord1), bell (chord2), vibro +

"Bell" (chord1), vibro + "bell" (chord2). Default value: bell (chord1).

Note: Vibrate alert is an optional feature. If it is absent - a reminder only by sound

signals.

Volume control carried out when the radio station is turned on by the handle 2 ... For increase

turn the knob clockwise, to decrease - counterclockwise. In order to hear the signal

it is convenient to temporarily disable the squelch using the programmable buttons.

Note: Disabling the squelch will allow you to hear the signal in the background noise, which is convenient for

setting the optimal volume level.

Switching channels carried out in the mode standby pen 8 .

Group selection. In total, the transceiver has 128 channels that are divided into 8 groups on 16 channels.

After the first channel is selected (knob 8 pregnant 1 ), press and hold PF2 at

turn on the walkie-talkie until you hear a beep. The radio will announce the number of the current group. V

at this point, to switch groups, use the channel switching knob ( 8 ).

Welcome. You can hear the call of the transmitting side when the channel you are working on is selected.

This will turn on the green indicator.

Notes:

You will not be able to receive calls if the squelch level is set too high.

If any code is programmed on the selected channel ( CTCSS or DCS), you will hear

call, only if the corresponding code matches.

Broadcast. Monitor the channel before transmitting (by temporarily disconnecting

squelch button) and make sure the channel is not busy. Now press the button PTT and

speak. The optimal distance from the radio to the mouth is about 2.5 - 5 cm.

Note: Hold the button PTT all the time of transmission (the red indicator will "light up"). For

switch to receive mode release PTT.

Emergency Alarm Function. Press to activate the alarm.

and hold down the ( 4 ) for 3 sec.

After starting the function, the walkie-talkie will emit a characteristic sound beep, and transmit the alarm

correspondents. To disable the function "alarm" turn off the station and turn on

Note: This feature is disabled by default. If required, activate the function by

programming.

"Advanced" functions.

When the function VOX turned on, the walkie-talkie will switch to transmission by voice, without using

buttons PTT... To enable the function VOX, in the mode standby press and hold the button PF1 more than 3

sec .. When turned on VOX get audible confirmation ( beep). To turn off VOX repeat the same

most (until the beep), or turn off the station and turn on again.

Note: By programming "activate" the function VOX otherwise all

the above will not work.

VOX Level Setup This function is used to set the volume

triggering VOX... Possible level values VOX (1 - 9 ) are set by programming.

A higher level corresponds to a higher volume.

Note: First "activate" the function VOX(see previous note).

VOX off delay (VOX Delay Time). If the transceiver switches to receive immediately after

the end of the transmission, it is possible that the end of the transmitted information will not be fully received.

To solve this problem, it is possible to set the switching delay time. Possible value

– 3 sec) can be set by programming.

Sound confirmation VOX (VOX Beep). When this function is on, before starting the transmission by

programming.

CTCSS / DCS encoding / decoding. When this function is on, you can hear and receive

calls, only if the codes match CTCSS / DCS... Calls to stations, even on the same channel, from

other values of codes or without encoding at all, you will not accept.

Exists 50 tone code values CTCSS (67.0 - 254.1 Hz). In this case, it is possible independently

define these encodings in the interval 50 - 260 Hz with step 0.1 Hz.

Exists 232 digital codes DCS (017N - 765L).

Optional DTMF signal. It is possible to define the DTMF signal for each channel by

programming.

This function is similar to encoding CTCSS / DCS and implements such functions as: Selective call,

Group call, PTT ID, remote shutdown and inclusion.

1. PTT ID

: If a channel has been defined PTT ID, this information will be transmitted when working on

channel when pressed and released PTT... Stations with a similar function and display will be

display this PTT ID(identifier caller) when receiving a call.

Through programming you can create groups and organize group calls by pattern

symbols A, B, C, D, “*”, “#”).

The caller can now call different groups by transmitting different group

codes. When the receiving party receives ID code, one or all characters of the code are compared with

a pattern, on the basis of which the call is answered or not. In this way,

group or selective calls.

Group code: C.

ID code :

C23, stations will answer RADIO A and RADIO B.

If the caller uses the code when calling CC5, stations will answer RADIO C and RADIO D.

If the caller uses the code when calling CCC, all stations will answer.

The radio has 16 groups DTMF codes that can be programmed and used flexibly.

Sets the combination of CTCSS / DCS and DTMF signals.

Signal combination logic can be set CTCSS / DCS and DTMF(by programming).

: The station answers incoming calls only if matched and encoded CTCSS / DCS and signal

: The station will answer incoming calls when any of these signals match.

Time limit for transmission (TOT). The purpose of this function is to limit the continuous transmission time for

channel (prevents rapid battery discharge and possible overheating of the output stage). At

exceeding a predetermined time, the station will turn off transmission and notify sound signal.

The function itself TOT and the maximum transmission time are set by programming.

You can customize the operation of this function by programming.

Battery Save Setup When the function is on, the station will decrease

idle power consumption: no signal received, no

actions, etc.

Expanding the frequency range (Frequency Band Expand). By programming the frequency

the range of the walkie-talkie can be extended to the interval 400 - 520 MHz.

On off. Reset Function On / Off. By programming, you can enable / disable

function use Reset, which allows you to restore the factory settings of the device.

Restore factory settings (Resume Factory Default). Restore factory settings has

meaning when the station starts to work inadequately, etc. To do this, with the radio turned off, press and

hold the buttons PTT and PF2 more than 3 seconds, then release. Factory recovery sign

settings will be a message of the current channel number.

Note: The function must be enabled by programming. See prev. paragraph.

1 KENWOOD TK-F6 TURBO (always a large selection of KENWOOD walkie-talkies) User manual. USING THE BATTERY. Battery charge. The battery is not charged when shipped. Charge it before use. A new battery (or after long-term storage) at the first charge may not show the nominal capacity. To reach the rated capacity, repeat the charge-discharge cycle 2-3 times. If the runtime of even a fully charged battery is short, it's time to replace it. Charger. Use to charge the battery only Charger included with this radio. If, after installing the battery, the station "shows" low charge("Blinking" of the red indicator and voice notification), charge the battery. Notes: 1. Do not short-circuit the battery terminals or place it close to a fire source. Never try to disassemble the battery. We do not accept any responsibility for any results caused by changes to the battery without our permission. 2. Charge the battery at an ambient temperature of 5 to 40 C. Outside this temperature range, the battery may not be fully charged. 3. Charge the battery only when the radio is off, otherwise it may not charge properly. 4. Also, in order to avoid problems with the correctness of the charge, do not turn off the power and do not take out the battery during charging. 5. Do not attempt to recharge a fully charged battery, as this may shorten its life or damage it. 6. Do not attempt to charge the battery if it or the radio itself is wet. Dry the devices first. To avoid shorting the battery and damaging it, do not put it together with metal objects such as keys, chains, etc. How to charge. 1. Plug the power adapter into a power outlet, and connect to the charging glass. The indicator will first turn orange (about 1 second), then turn green (charge standby state). 2. Put the battery or walkie-talkie with the battery into the charging glass. Make sure that there is a reliable contact of the device terminals in the charging cup. The indicator will "flash" red (precharge state). 3. After about 5 minutes, the indicator will stop “blinking” - this is a normal charge state. 4. It takes about 6.5 hours to fully charge. When the green indicator turns on, charging is complete. Remove the battery (or walkie-talkie) from the charging glass. Note: If you charge the transceiver while the transceiver is turned on with the battery installed, the indicator will not turn green. Correct indication is possible only when charging the switched off station. Charging process and indicator status.

2 STATUS Power-on test Battery not installed Precharge Normal charge Fully charged Problem INDICATOR Orange (about 1 sec) Green “Blinking” red (about 5 minutes) Red Green “Blinking” red long time Note: "Problem" means either the battery is overheated, or there is a short circuit in the battery or radio, or it is time to change the battery. Charging tips. 1. Testing at startup. When the power is connected to the charging glass, the orange indicator will "blink" for about 1s and turn off. The device will enter the "ready to charge" state. This means that the charging cup has passed all the built-in tests and can charge the battery normally. If the indicator remains orange or “blinking” red, the self-test failed. 2. Pre-charge. If the red LED “blinks” when the battery is installed in the charging cup, it means that the residual voltage on the battery is too low and the device “precharges” the battery with a low current (“precharge” status). The charger will automatically enter a normal charge state when the battery reaches a certain voltage. Note: The precharge cannot last more than 30 minutes. If the red light continues to blink after 30 minutes, the charger is not charging the battery. Check the health of both the battery and the charger. How to store batteries. 1. If you do not plan to use the battery for a long time, leave about half the charge. 2. Store batteries in low temperature and low humidity (dry place). 3. Avoid heat and direct sunlight.

3 GETTING STARTED. Installing the battery. 1. Align the two grooves of the battery with the guides on the back of the radio and slide it in. 2. Press the bottom of the battery until it clicks into place. Removing the battery. 1. Press the release latch to remove the battery. Installation / removal of the antenna. In standby mode, pressing the programmable button "Poll battery status" will get an approximate value of the battery capacity on a 10-level scale (higher value corresponds to higher capacity, 10 is fully charged). If the capacity drops to level 1 (approximately 6.0V), the red indicator will "flash" and the station will automatically switch to TX Off mode (transmission inhibit).

6 Missed calls (Call Remind). This feature is used to remind you of missed calls. When you call (using the programmable button) the CALL function, the radio transmits a call signal. When other stations receive this signal, they will "issue" the corresponding pre-programmed signal. There are 5 missed call signals: vibro, bell (chord1), bell (chord2), vibro + bell (chord1), vibro + bell (chord2). Default value: bell (chord1). Note: Vibrate alert is optional. If it is absent, the reminder is only by sound signals. Volume control is carried out when the radio station is turned on by knob 2. To increase the volume, rotate the knob clockwise, to decrease it counterclockwise. In order to hear the signal, it is convenient to temporarily disable the squelch using the programmable buttons. Note: Disabling the squelch will allow you to hear the signal in the background of noise, this is convenient for setting the optimal volume level. Channel switching is carried out in standby mode with knob 8. Note: The radio will give a voice warning if the current channel is free. Group selection. In total, the transceiver has 128 channels, which are divided into 8 groups of 16 channels. After the first channel is selected (knob 8 in position 1), press and hold the PF2 button while turning on the radio until you hear a beep. The radio will announce the number of the current group. At this point, use the channel selector knob (8) to switch groups. Welcome. You can hear the call of the transmitting side when the channel you are working on is selected. This will turn on the green indicator. Notes: 1. You will not be able to receive calls if the squelch level is set too high. 2. If any code (CTCSS or DCS) is programmed on the selected channel, you will hear a call only if the corresponding code matches. Broadcast. Before transmitting, monitor the channel (by temporarily disabling the squelch with the programmable button) and make sure the channel is not busy. Now press the PTT button and speak. The optimal distance from the walkie-talkie to the mouth is about 2.5-5 cm. Note: Hold the PTT button all the time while transmitting (the red indicator will "light up"). Release PTT to switch to receive mode. Emergency Alarm Function. To activate the alarm, press and hold the button (4) for 3 seconds. After starting the function, the walkie-talkie will emit a characteristic sound beep, and transmit an emergency signal to the correspondents. To deactivate the "emergency signaling" function, switch the station off and on again. Note: This feature is disabled by default. If required, activate the function by programming. "Advanced" functions. Switching the VOX function on / off ( voice control). When the VOX function is on, the radio will switch to voice transmission without using the PTT button. To turn on the VOX function, in standby mode, press and hold the PF1 button for more than 3 seconds. When the VOX is turned on, you will receive a sound confirmation (beep). To turn off VOX, repeat the same (until a beep), or turn off the station and turn on again. Note: By programming, "activate" the VOX function, otherwise the above will not work. VOX Level Setup This function is used to set the volume level of the VOX response. Possible VOX level values (1-9) are set by programming. A higher level corresponds to a higher volume. Note: First "activate" the VOX function (see previous note). VOX off delay (VOX Delay Time). If the transceiver switches to receive immediately after the end of the transmission, it is possible that the end of the transmitted information will not be fully received. To solve this problem, it is possible to set the switching delay time. Possible value (0.3 3 sec) can be set by programming. Sound confirmation VOX (VOX Beep). When this function is on, before starting the transmission by

7 VOX there will be a sound notification (beep) to remind the user that work has begun on the air (so as not to croak too much). Squelch Levels Setup. This function sets the value of the received signal strength that can be heard and at which calls will pass. Possible values (0-9) are set by programming. The value 0 corresponds to the actually turned off noise reduction. Locking the walkie-talkie (Keypad Lockout). Enable this feature to prevent any unintended actions. Press and hold the Emergency Button while turning on the walkie-talkie and release after the beep beep. That's it, the lock is on. Repeat the above steps to release the interlock (two beep at the end). Note: By programming it is possible to assign this function to the PF1 or PF2 button. Disable the squelch. The muffler can be turned off in standby mode by a programmable button (PF1 or PF2, see "Programmable button functions"). You can now hear background noises. Repeat the same steps to turn on the squelch. This function is useful when you need to receive extremely weak signals. Monitor. To activate the monitor mode, use the Programmable Buttons (PF1 or PF2, see Programmable Button Functions). Confirmation one beep. In this mode, the radio will ignore the CTCSS / DCS codes and listen to the signals of other stations while there is a subcarrier on the channel. To turn off the “monitor” function, use the same button (confirmation of shutdown two beeps). Current Channel Power Inquiry. The function "request the power of the current channel" is called by the programmable button. In this case, the radio will report the value of the out. power of the current channel. Switching out. power. Likewise, the switching of the transmitter output power for the current channel is carried out by the corresponding programmable button. When switching, the walkie-talkie will "report" the selected value. Scan mode. The scan function is used to monitor the channels of the current group. Press the corresponding softkey to start scanning in standby mode (start confirmation beep). During scanning, the green indicator will "blink" every second. When a channel with a signal is found, the radio will temporarily stop on this channel, and until the signal disappears, the LED will light constantly. Now calling this function again will stop scanning (confirmation two beeps) and the station will switch to the working channel. Reverse frequencies. When enabled (confirmation beep), the transmit and receive frequencies of the current channel (including the preset CTCSS / DCS codes) are reversed. Switching off the frequency reversal with the same button (confirmation by two beeps). Talk Around function. When this function is active, transmission is carried out on the receive frequency. The function is switched on / off by the corresponding programmable button. Note: When Talk Around is on, the radio cannot communicate with other stations through the repeater. Calling signal CALL1, CALL2. This function makes it possible in standby mode to transmit a preset (also by programming) DTMF signal using one of the programmed buttons (for CALL1 and CALL2). Temporary removal of a noisy channel. This function allows you to temporarily remove a noisy channel (or seize a channel) in the scan list. When the scan reaches the channel, call the “temporary delete” function (see “soft key functions”), confirmation beep, that's it, now the channel from the scan list is removed from the scan list until the next station is turned on. This function is useful when scanning constantly stops on a channel with no signal, but with high level interference. The priority channel cannot be removed from the scan list in this way. When there are 1 or 2 channels left in the scan list, the function is not available. To "return" all deleted channels back, turn off the station and turn it on again. Microphone squelch (optional). The essence of the function is to reduce the level of microphone noise that may be broadcast. Useful when working in highly noisy areas. The function, as usual, needs to be "activated" and assigned to any of the programmable buttons by

8 programming. CTCSS / DCS encoding / decoding. When this feature is enabled, you can only hear and receive calls if the CTCSS / DCS codes match. You will not receive calls from stations, even those operating on the same channel, with different code values or no coding at all. There are 50 CTCSS tone codes (Hz). In this case, it is possible to independently determine these encodings in the Hz interval with a step of 0.1 Hz. There are 232 digital DCS codes (017N 765L). Optional DTMF signal. It is possible to define the DTMF signal for each channel by programming. This function is similar to CTCSS / DCS coding and implements such functions as: Selective Call, Group Call, PTT ID, Remote Disable and Enable. 1. PTT ID: If a PTT ID is defined for a channel, this information will be transmitted when operating on the channel when PTT is pressed and released. Stations with a similar function and display will display this PTT ID (Caller ID) when they answer a call. 2. By programming, you can create groups and organize group calls by pattern (DTMF characters A, B, C, D, *, #). The caller can now call different groups by transmitting different group codes. When the receiving party receives the ID code, one or all of the characters of the code are matched against a pattern, based on which the call is answered or not. In this way, group or selective calls are realized. Example: Group code: C. RADIO A RADIO B RADIO C RADIO D ID code: If the calling party uses C23 when calling, RADIO A and RADIO B will answer. If the calling party uses CC5 when calling, RADIO C and RADIO will answer D. If the calling party uses the CCC code when calling, all stations will answer. The radio has 16 groups of DTMF codes, which can be programmed and used quite flexibly. Sets the combination of CTCSS / DCS and DTMF signals. The logic for combining CTCSS / DCS and DTMF signals can be set (by programming). AND: The station will answer incoming calls only if both CTCSS / DCS and DTMF tones match. OR: The station will answer incoming calls when any of these signals match. Time limit for transmission (TOT). The purpose of this function is to limit the continuous transmission time on the channel (prevents rapid battery discharge and possible overheating of the output stage). If the pre-determined time is exceeded, the station will turn off the transmission and notify you with a sound signal. The TOT function itself and the maximum transmission time are set by programming. Voice confirmation. The essence of the function is voice notification about called functions, their values, errors, etc. Voice confirmation in English is possible and Chinese... You can customize the operation of this function by programming. Battery Save Setup When the function is enabled, the station will reduce energy consumption in the “idle” state: no signal is received, no action is taken, etc. Expanding the frequency range (Frequency Band Expand). By programming, the frequency range of the radio can be extended to the MHz interval. On off. Reset Function On / Off. By programming, you can enable / disable the use of the Reset function, which allows you to restore the factory settings of the device. Restore factory settings (Resume Factory Default). It makes sense to restore factory settings when the station starts to work inadequately, etc. To do this, with the radio turned off, press and hold the PTT and PF2 buttons for more than 3 seconds, then release. The indication of restoring the factory settings will be the message of the current channel number. Note: The function must be enabled by programming. See prev. paragraph.
